Hello....

I would like advice on a quick and responsive keyboard for Worms Armageddon.

Mechanical or not, whatever works best for roping and overall typing comfort is ok.

Backlight/RGB is not essential, however, media controls are to a certain degree.

When it comes to key switches, I have used romer-G and I quite liked them. But red switches, are bad for me.

Any thoughts and recommendations?

Thanks.

Schemes I mostly play: Big RRz and Roperz.

Ducky and Wooting.

Also check out Bloody, Cooler Master and Logitech. Why don't you like red switches?

oh, I forgot that optical switches are a thing lol

Optical switches are not faster than mechanical switches. Input lag is dependant on the firmware and MCU used.

Most manufacturers do not care about input lag. They are content with something that works. Bloody are an exception which is why you can feel the difference.

I should add switches that actuate closer to the top feel more responsive. This applies equally to both optical and mechanical switches. Even small differences can be noticeable.

That's why old IBM kbs (mechanical or rubberdome) are so good. They still feel fastest to me to this date. Although I have only tested a handful of modern kbs (logitech, Qpad, cherry). Old IBM is so good when it comes to response time.

Yeah, even though I can rope really fast with this Logitech k740 and it's the best keyboard i've found in the past 10-15 years, the IBM keyboard I had when I 1st started is where I learned how to do 2 handed scrolls and could generally rope really fast, it might just be my imagination but I think I was faster because of that keyboard, it was a PS/2 connection, which generally felt faster.

lmao I love how Masta just casually beats all these runs with a SNES controller

Laser switches bloody - just fire. K740 still good enough for roping. I loved keyboards on laptops also, dunno why but most of them really usefull for roping and have not lags.
