Here's another topic I made 5 years ago, it basically ask the same question, but the poll is newer: https://www.tus-wa.com/forums/worms-armageddon/20-years-from-now-will-worms-armageddon-still-exist-online-32283/
At that time it seemed nearly dead tbh, atleast competitively. I voted for 20, but now I would vote for 40+ I guess

Yeah the recent updates have been a literal gamechanger.

I said die within 10 years, though I was speaking about competitive wa really... If I could go back and change my answer the correct answer would be when the universe dies lol.

2016 I was playing League of Legends and reproving on University. Going out and using drugs. I was a bit upset with WA community, I didn't have any interest to play competitive games in WA. I think the only things I did was some edits to WKB maybe. I felt the game was abandoned and lost motivation to play it. I don't know what caused me to play again, maybe because I love this game and missed some things, and when I become active again people were very receptive with me. I liked that, I felt like I really belong to this place. Now with 3.8 and 3.9, speed running streams, many people editing WKB, clanners becoming active again, TUS receiving a huge update with mobile app, new categories being created for maps, more schemes and Kaos dominating competitive scenario, Rubber worm being finally respected and recognized as never before, I think this game will take a long time to die. My biggest worries are specific people of the community that are very important, if they get serious health problems, than I think the game can decrease a lot on the activity. People are nicer these days.

In all these topics about ''WA is gonna die'' I never really talked about from a competitive stand point..  Geez how much miscommunication.

Universe will never die. If the universe would die it would just reset itself infinitely and infinitely.

Someone is using my name on WormNET. If you are under suspicion if you aren't with the real Kradie, then pelase confirm my real ID here on TUS or discord @Kradie.

Schemes I mostly play: Big RRz and Roperz.

It probably depends on MI at this point. If MI shuts down TUS the likeness of slowly vanishing is much higher. No clue if discord could replace TUS as the main social hub. At least my prediction of komo sticking around seems to be true. :D

Sensei

Pretty sure MI and TUS aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

Why do you think when we aren't playing Worms we have 0 Worms.
The maximum amount of worms on a team is 8 Worms.

0-8

From nothing to everything.

You're welcome! :D

when the TUS community and the WormNET casuals are still split up like currently, something ludicrous would need to happen to the casual audience for the game to fall off

I hope Worms Armageddon survive a lot of time. I like this game and not the same, I like other fun games for example Worms Reloaded. I answer the previous question: 5-10 years, but I think that it could be quite hard. I can hope the better answer that everyone could be retain in the future.
