wn seems to be online, but channels disappeared... use steps's server, direct ip or snooper hosting on wormnet1...

Dunno mate, whenever I try to join to StepS server via game itself, it shows "Please wait" message (though I can see who's online on the server, but can't really do anything else, except just closing worms). Although I can easily connect to the server via snooper, I can't join any game or host one (I hope this is temporary thing, in both cases)

Team17 has released this press release, via their P.R. spokeswoman Kaitlin O'Donnell on twitter:

As much as we have enjoyed supporting our worms titles over the years, recent budget constraints have conspired to truncate our ability to do so.  We can no longer continue to extend our server-side support.  We thank all of our fans and we hope going forward they understand this is in the greater good for creating quality future titles here at Team17.

I combined the tweets into one message so I could get the information neatly and succinctly to our worms community.  This truly is terrible news :(
