They placed illegal girders. The game should be deleted.

From BnG Rules:

"Girders may be used for bouncing purposes only. Destroy the girder before continuing if placed incorrectly."

Johnny is correct, the 1st girder is used for protection (not allowed) and stops him from being plopped, he should tele somewhere else, if no hides left, not 5150's fault, should make a higher map, or try and hit more consistently so the game doesn't last long enough for a whole part of a map to be destroyed.

The 2nd girder stops the worm on the left from being hit easy with zooks and low angle grenades, (again, protection, not allowed), and also ruins the the possiblity of using BackBounce grenades to hit the worm on the right.

IMO the game should be replayed, but obviously a MOD will have to handle this.

They DID place illegal girders though.

Sorry I didn't catch your sarcasm there, but you had no lol or smileys or funny comment or anything, so can't blame me for my response, only trying to help :)

Seriously Komo, did u watch the game? Which team started with lame hides? It was 5150! Sure TaG's girders arent correct - obv - but that was just a reaction after 5150' lame play. In fact, 5150 did make that game like it came out, not TaG.

-> 1st girder from 5150 was a clown one without any chances to bounce a nade to TaG's terrain.
-> 2nd girder from 5150 was better, but still better options there (teleport).
-> Then 5150' Dub-c moved under those girders which mean an incorrect teleport cause those girders arent for bouncing anymore (only protecting!).
-> Afterwards 5150' Dub-c torching to rightest point - another cow, cause he cant throw nades from there.

After all that TaG was putting two unallowed girders - but imo game was failed before by 5150' turns.

TaG is the right winner here and 5150 Dub-C should improve his "BnG-Technics". :p

By the way: Was not funny at all, Dub-c. But maybe its more funny with alcohol in your cold canadian blood, lol.

What happens if you place a girder for bouncing purpose, but after few turns you teleport somewhere that the girder could actually act as shelter or something?
Due to massive misunderstandings: MonkeyIsland refers to an island not a monkey. I would be a monkey, if my name was IslandMonkey meaning a monkey who is or lives on an island. MonkeyIsland is an island which is related to monkeys. Also there's been a legend around saying MonkeyIsland is a game. So please, think of me as an island or a game.

Hey Dub  :D don't worry, I get the joke, it's obvious.

What happens if you place a girder for bouncing purpose, but after few turns you teleport somewhere that the girder could actually act as shelter or something?
IMO, the original purpose becomes obsolete, so the new one will be cow indeed.

And for Komo, of course my girders were ilegal, but as SPW said, you have to watch the entire game to get the point of them (and technically, I used them after all their cows). And guess what I thought deeply in my heart/mind after the last zook that I made...

You could argue that you had that planned all along and it would still be regarded as being used for protection, but the way the rules are wrote, I think you would have to destroy it, but, you're the boss, you tell us xD

And SPW, my bad, I only watched the game with scroll lock on TAG in super fast motion.

I guess I was just looking for what Johnny said, I was a lil drunk still from last night and wasn't really thinking, either way it sucks to see BnG come down to games like this regardless of who started it.

My apologies for not paying attention to the whole game, was just trying to help, and fluffed it haha.

Girders should be deleted from any bng scheme. They only complicate things like this situation, and are useless after all.

Nah, not entirely coste, they are useful, but in our a2b scheme you only get 1 girder and it has turn delay, so as soon as someone uses it, they take the risk of it being blown up next turn without the chance to replace it :)

But I think your point is, if I am right, they shouldn't be allowed as it encourages Darksiding, which I totally agree with in that sense.

Its useful for darksiders or for those who cant use every bit of pixel as a bank. And ofcourse they complicate. You cant say if someone placed girder only for bouncing purposes, bng is about whole map and girder may block some shots.

In hands of good BnG'ers, ofc. But TUS BnG is war! Most of the guys dont feel the blues while playing BnG.

So, lacoste is right. Remove girders at all, put in inf. tp's and let the war keep continue.  :)
