I just rewatched the replay convinced that may opinion about it would be changed since i was enraged at the time... nope... sorry Rok. don't know how you can call bullshit on that. ps did not get a single really challenging crate the entire game. watch the game carefully, i counted two instances when we could have attacked the fat worm but the crate was tucked in the far island or near ground level on the far island... that allowed them to just inch back into the game... this was after ps fell before a crate and failed to attack dev twice on normal crates. Not to mention the like 2nd to last crate of the game where I was even starting at top, dulek tucked in the left island, and my crate gets tucked in the right island... sooo fair
if you guys cannot see how crates allowed them to get back in the game, then there is nothing more i can say to change your minds. you are all brainwashed
I 2nd that
they'd still have won if shyguy didn't fall in hist last turn.
how could you possibly know this for a fact? the turn of that fall my crate was impossible, how do you know, even if I didn't fall, that a fair crate would drop next time? you can't possibly say that as a fact... the fact is, crate drops costs us at least 120 damage to them, and once again, they did not get a single unmanageable crate... it makes me wonder about those who said the crates looked even that game... i just don't understand how they can't see the 3 crate drops that f@#!ed us over.
I don't understand the mindset of people who defend this scheme... ps made 3 obvious mistakes which gave us a solid lead, then the game engine gave the game back slowly... how is that fair that mm has to hustle and bustle and play around these stupid crate drops while ps really did very little to comeback in the game? then people watch the game and blame our falls at the end of the game as the sole reason we lost... it's funny how the big supports of this scheme basically admit it is f@#!ed up when their mantra is essentially "the game WILL f@#! you up at times for no reason, but the playerz who can keep their kool after an unfair crate will win in the end!"
?
edit: i watched the replay again, and actually there was a 4th impossible crate we got near the end when ps worms both had around 40 hp...
first turn ps hits self, preventing a pile and allowing me to get an easy attack. I probably wouldn't have made an attack on the worm i was on considering the crate and the wind.
next turn for ps, failed zook
ps fell and gave us two crates
the one guy for ps fails to make an effective attack THREE turns in a row, no impossible crates involved.
ps failed another normal crate a little after that.
Dev fell once, but at least didn't forfeit a crate
first turn i fell on top, there was no fd, and ps didn't even capitalize on fall damage
i fall a second time for fd
mm failed once or twice to attack when impossible crates weren't involved.
I don't see how our mistakes outweigh their mistakes... they clearly played worse than us, but they got the 160+ damage bonus from the 4 crates that prevented us from making any progress in the game
