LoadLibrary failed: Error 0000007E, what to do now? i have all the sources and dll file in my directory
your pc is missing Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes (2015-2019) - here is a link to all-in-one installer: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/visual-c-redistributable-runtime-package-all-in-one/
btw, WA's warning message should be made more clear about the cause of error 0x7E to avoid confusion. ideally, it should list all missing DLL dependencies and suggest to try installing msvc runtimes, madshi's madCodeHook. If you ever stumble over similar issue, try running Dependency Walker https://www.dependencywalker.com/ to identify missing libraries.

Tech Support / Re: Hosting doesn't work

The issue still persist.

I tried to host with WormNAT2, but my name is RED and no one could join.
Connection failed when I try to join people.-
Instant boot on my own HB games and other HB games.

I tried the staging server, and HB worked when 'I hosted and other hosted.
I tried to host on the staging server with WormNAT2 with no success, and my name was red again.

Why is this?

I haven't tampered with any files, settings in WA nad PC, only swapped some sounds here and there. It all worked flawlessly for years. I even reinstalled the game.

Also, I use mobile hot spot, but I have my own IP and the speeds are close to 30mpbs.
I can host flawlessly locally in other games more graphically intensive games.

(I don't use snoopers to host, always internally).
...I steel feel it's some port-blocked issue, or some protection software eventually

...why the roofing is blocked - going above is not a glitch (ಠ‿ಠ)
Roofing is not allowed in league games (not that it matters in WxW). And it's listed as a glitch.
...that's right, it's in the glitches, but surely I don't understand why it's described as a glitch

...maybe you should ask your provider for some ports being blocked, because it seems for everyone else here it's working fine

General discussion / Re: Surf Shopper v3.8 (no TS)
« on: August 18, 2020, 07:42 PM »
The TS options are not exactly the way they were in the original, see this for reference: https://worms2d.info/List_of_Worms_Armageddon_logic_versions#Effects
(how to read the table: each subsequent version of TS adds options on top of previous ones, or modifies options that were used in previous ones)

If it is necessary to roll on the "beach" after surfing then "X Impact Loss of control" also needs to be Disabled. (someone in the shoutbox mentioned this). Otherwise rules modified that you have to use the rope when you are close to the shore.
Thanks, I'll change that

*edit*

- added no loss of control on x-impact to the classic scheme, the simple one stays as clean as possible

3.8 schemes are not supported on TUS yet and I did poke MonkeyIsland about this

don't worry, you're not the only one who's worried
...such things just can't get me worried, while I try to never be worried, and we can always "zip'em", or attach'em in a topic, or just wait until it'll be fixed - the easiest fix (or temporary fix) I can think of would be allowing *.zip files to be uploaded as schemes :)

...and use the New Desktop feature in Windows 10 (WINDOWS KEY + TAB)
...just for clarification - ⊞ + Tab also works with win7 so this is nothing new :)

General discussion / Surf Shopper v3.8 (no TS)
« on: August 15, 2020, 06:55 PM »
Nice addition is that now we can also use the [Space] key (rope) while skimming of a water (surfing).

I've made 2 schemes for Surf Shopper without 'TS':

☯ Classic - which includes all glitches and roping aids known from 'Test Stuff', but with many bug fixes that came with the update v3.8, along with the new feature mentioned at the top, where you can Surf with the [Space] as a rope - [Enter] key now may be used for other weapons simultaneously, or just for instant parachuting at any moment.

☯ Simple - where all extra 'Test Stuff' glitches and roping aids are disabled (even the 'Batty Rope'), only the one allowing you to Surf is enabled (along with 'rope-roll drops'), and while in a Surf (skimming on a water) the rope can be fired with [Enter] key only - it's the way it always worked when 'TS' was in use.

Both schemes' turn duration is initially adjusted with 60 seconds - useful for most of those big WxW+Fly+Surf maps.

For Surf-only maps set 30s.

For some harder Surf+WxW, or Surf+Fly maps set 45s.

For all of the easier, small combo maps try 30s as in Surf-only.

Have Fun...

Bug Report / [SOLVED] [error] ...invalid scheme file
« on: August 15, 2020, 03:29 PM »
...probably it's not a big surprise, but I've just tried to upload v3.8 surf scheme that doesn't require 'TestStuff', adjusted with 60 seconds turn-time (surf+fly+w2w), but the same scheme may be used for surf only (turn = 30 sec), or surf+fly (turn = 45 sec) - now, is there something wrong with the scheme file itself or the board's engine just isn't ready for this yet?

(new thing is that we can now use the 'Space' to fire the rope during surfing)
