That's awesome dude.  Huge congrats on your progress and I have so much respect for you, between the injury, rehabbing, and then your progress to where you are at now.  That is huge and takes so much dedication and heart.  Nothing but respect to you.

The numbers are nothing but that... numbers.  Of course it's fun to compare, but hell, if I could have the same results lifting at lower weights, then I would absolutely love to do that.  I'm only 'so high up' here  from the time I've put in, and of course natural progression .

Yep, I was a beanpole back from ages 13-20... In my 20s I was around 185-190... then after breaking up with my gf of 4 years, I let myself go pretty hardcore.  Got to 198lbs when I realized, holy shit, I am a fat f@#!.  Of course 198 wouldn't be bad, but I have to imagine I was something like ~30%BF.

I've been working out and eating healthy religiously for over 2 straight years now.  Would love to know what I'd look like, if I didn't drink so much... Lately I've try to cut it back hardcore, but Summer makes it difficult...  Right now I have been getting BF% readings between 9-11% with calipers, and upwards to 13% based on scales.

edit:  Forgot to say thank you for the kind words; greatly appreciated.

Good shit boys...

I'm a hardcore gym/fitness rat.

I lift 4-5 days a week, and do cardio at minimum 3 days a week - heavy into cycling as well.

Also big into stretching, so recently I have been trying to do yoga as often as possible.

I also diet heavy with the leangains program.

5'10

170-174lbs

Don't know any of my 1RMs because I don't really max out ever.  Usually do 4 sets of everything

For bench I'd assume my 1RM is about 305LB, give or take.  I typically work 4 sets of ~10 with ~225lb, with slight increases/decreases depending on strength/sleep/food.

Deadlift [Just started doing these again recently, ie: 6 weeks ago due to a back injury]... I work with 315LB, probs 1RM is somewhere around 405-455lb..

Barbell Squats, always do ATG - usually only work with ~285 depending on how I'm feeling.  If I'm feeling a bit shaky, I'll go to smith or squat machine [not the lying squat sleigh...] and go to 315 or so.

Military Press usually work with 125lb-135lb only.

Forgot to mention... No 'bikes'.. all natty w/ supplements....

current stack:

Haven't used the oxyelite yet though bc I didn't bulk like I had planned to...

Also my cardio from the other day...

edit to include some progress photos...

this is while I was trying to bulk, using leangains diet.

After one month of cutting, I was here [pic taken warm after workout]

This is me at rest 2 weeks or so ago... these photos are cold and on rest day...

Last edit bc I didn't proofread well when I wrote this.

for DLs and  bb squats I work upwards to 315 [DL] and squats [285]..

usually will warm up with 135 always on both, then for DL I typically will do 185x12 [really an extension of warmup on DLs], 225x10, 275x8, 315x6, 315xfailure, if its over 3 reps I'll do another set til failure, if its over 3 reps then I'll continue, until finally failure is under 3 reps....

Barbell Squats I work with a similar building progression except if I start feeling my legs shake or my back breaks correct form, then that's my equivalent of failure.

Last year I raised over $3K doing it...

This year I'm hoping to hit $5K.

First of all they`re not very short lol, secondly thats me Komo. Picture is a bit f@#!ed up, but yeah I`m quite thin. Guess it wouldn`t hurt if I gained a couple of extra pounds, just like it wouldn`t hurt if you lost a few pounds from your belly, Dave :P

Lol, I know this is going to bore the hell out of some people but this is an interesting subject to me, I hated being thin, I deliberately put on weight over last 3-4 years for many reasons, first off, I know this sounds ridicilous, but I hated being "very good looking" just because of my body, and I really really hated attracting the type of girls that are only interested in how good someone looks, I hate one night stands, and I hate false attraction derived from looks, and I hate the general concept the world seems to have, especially here in UK that everyone has to look like a model to be successful, i'll leave that reason at that unless you wanna know more which I doubt lol.

But also I hate being cold, and having a bit more fat keeps me warm in the winter than being thinner, I know this sounds crazy to some but in my part of Scotland it is really cold in the winter, at least for me.

I love food lol, seriously, in my opinion it's one of lifes greatest luxuries, especially in our day and age, I don't see the need to go on silly diets and punish myself when I am going to die anyway, i'd rather live a satisfying shorter life than a less satisfying longer life. *EDIT* - But of course if I have kids someday I might re-consider for the benefit of a longer life in that circumstance.

I have fat but i'm strong too, I used to do alot of bodybuilding and worked on building sites back when I was a vain posing prick and had the 6-pack n everything,  I work very hard and I am fit and healthy, especially having quit cigs/alcohol for last 9 months or so, lol I can do DDR on expert for 3-4 hours non-stop, imo that's pretty good xD

So it ain't like I am a fat useless jobless redneck/gypsy with a chin so greasy hair won't grow there, unlike most fat people, I am a bit big through choice and I take care, unlike them.

But anyway Crazy lol, I just thought cuz the camera was blurry that it cut off some of the picture, it happens sometimes, cuz if you look between 2nd and 3rd from right side between their feet, there is bigger gap than most of picture and what looks like the shoe of another person been cut out the pic lol.

Anyway so to answer your question, it would hurt for me to lose weight lol, it's hard for me to stay like this cuz I work like a motherf@#!er at my job and I burn off so many calories, if I lose weight I ain't gonna get depressed lol but i'd rather stay like I am :)

I wish.

I'm not very close with the kid, we met because we have a lot of similar interests - and we stay in touch just over those interests.  Strictly that.  He is really just an acquaintance to me... I met him while I was shopping for a car, as he was also shopping for a similar one.

If I was VERY VERY close with him I'd ask him for a discount, but I am not.  Being in the business I am in, I don't like asking anyone for favors or breaks.  Just like I have my occupation, he has his - and we do what we do to create a living and a means for ourselves; and I'm going to assume he has more expenses than me right now  :P

A friend of mine started a website for headphones; he carries the best of the best.

If you truly want the BEST sound quality, he's the guy to get it from.

His website is:  http://www.soundearphones.com/

I personally have the Seinheiser CX680i's because I work out hard and need something that doesn't wiggle in my ear/fall out while sprinting, or get damaged from sweat.  They're the best earphones I've ever had, sound quality on them is superb for my taste, though Seinheiser has higher quality stuff.

My friend personally uses the Shure SE535's, which I believe are one of the best earphones on the market; but he is an audiophile who also wont listen to music unless they're on Wilson's.  Personally I would never fork over $500 on earphones, but for someone who wants the absolute best quality I guess it's a bargain in comparison to speakers.

Hmm... reading comprehension or a language barrier?

I'll try this again:  My respect to him is as a PRODUCER. Not as an actor or a musician.

It's not even something that you can argue.  While I think it is clear that someone like Scorsese is FAR superior than him, it technically is still subjective to say Scorsese is more talented than Wahlberg when it comes to producing.

What is a fact though is that when Wahlberg signs as a producer on a project, the project always does very well.  While I have hated the last 4 seasons of Entourage, it still a show that everyone else seems to love and watch.  He is still able to entertain and catch an audience.  The show continues to be one of the most popular shows on television (well, it's over now...)  How can you say that is no talent?  Regardless of whether or not you personally enjoy him, his job is to lead shows/movies in the right direction, and it's safe to say that he has succeeded tenfold....

So shady, being a jets fan, how do you feel about the sanchize?  Good 1st game.

I'm a Giants fan :(.

Week one was a heart breaker for me... Though all of my fantasy teams won.

I don't give up the opportunity to see a good game, plus I am quite friendly with Michael Vick's fiance so I figured I'd at least meet up with her for a few drinks and make sure Vick has a good season for my fantasy team ;).

Sure, I think he's a good businessman too. After all, he made a career, become a "star", have a lots of money... But I don't have a respect for all good businessman.. There are lots of frauds there..
It's just that I'm remembering him from the early 90's.. And he did exactly the same thing as some local "stars/singers" did here in my country. They put tons of make-up, put their clothes off, shows a nice ass and big boobies and they get attention cause majority of population is mediocrity and just want to see some nudity.. And they are all famous and successful, but they don't have any talents in singing. And it's all OK, but then go and be a roll-model or porn star or whatever.. Don't present yourself as a singer or an artist.. Cause it's just business.

Being intelligent to make a "star" out of yourself and to become successful, doesn't always mean it's for respect. There are lots of fake stars out there and in my opinion Marky is one of them.. I'd compare him to Pamela Anderson for example. They are just dummies in property of some production company and they are used for money-making.. They are not singers/actors whose talents is for respect.

Dude, you're way off here.  You're comparing polar opposites.  Fact of the matter is Wahlberg is intelligent AND a talent; Pamela is just fun to look at...

Wahlberg wins awards, not for the way he looks - but for his leadership and ability to understand what people want to see.

Look at the show and movies he has produced...

Entourage, Boardwalk Empire, How to Make it in America, In Treatment, The Fighter...

whew, i always thought you bullshitted when you say you met celebrities shady, but i guess you are telling the truth.. thats pretty cool man nice pics.

Thanks dude.  Being in NYC, it's somewhat expected that you run into them often.  This was a different occasion though where we ate dinner together, had drinks, etc.  Fun time all together.  Only complaint is that it was hot as balls, especially when you're in a suit/tie.

Tried to do that already... that setting isn't on my facebook anymore since the update.  Cant search my recently added.  I'm just going to have to scroll through everyone I suppose...

Edit:  There was one person at the event that I was dying to meet and really wanted a picture with, but he had left before I had the opportunity to speak with him... Martin Scorsese :(

Why apologize to me?

I wasn't a huge fan of him myself, but I have total respect for the guy as a business man.  Everything he touches turns to gold at this point...  He has made some good decisions in his once-f@#!ed-up-life.  I also love the movie Basketball Diaries, which he was in.

It was my first time ever meeting him and even though me and him only spoke for less than 10 minutes last night, it was a pleasure.

Met everyone last night... Ricky Gervais, entire Sopranos cast, Boardwalk Empire Cast [Though I always see them...], Hung Cast, dozens upon dozens of others as well.
