what happens if the top players of group are tied on points?

its a nice idea but dario is right, all the flaws and loopholes in the point system and the rules for playoffs and everything need to be developed and agreed on before a cash prize is used.

Once those things are worked out and everyone can agree on a fair system then adding prizes would bring back alot of old wormers maybe and also make games more serious, it could really help wormnet.

But on the other hand is may also cause people to cheat again like what happened in previous leagues with silkworm, xspeed or even hack the website to destory your work or let themselves win. Id maybe consider another prize, Like a printed mug or t-shirt. This may not cause possible cheats and bad sports to emerge as dramatically as a cash prize!

We used to give an hour to report a game.

If the loser goes and plays right after the game and winner had reported it was considered to be a bad sporting attitude.. but the game could stick if it was within the hour time limit of the winner not reporting.

If the winner took over an hour to report and then the loser played he could void that game as it effected his rating differently. However this was only valid if it would effected the scheme so it wouldnt work if someone reported late and the loser had played anything since in that scheme to effect the rating and the late report wasnt a problem.

it has to be played on bo3 otherwise its too lucky. Its a very good competitive scheme darkz, dario, jigsaw, and few others are great at this scheme. Maybe tus needs to come up with a system to award more 2 wins for bo3 matchs, or each round of intermediate counts as a win/lose but you HAVE to do bo3 and not 1 round.
