It's always good practice to save the soil/bg chunk into the png yourself. If you do not, maps played with hostingbuddy or WMDB can appear glitchy, i'm not sure why this happens.

Normaly I do - but on rare occasions I prefer glitchy colors - with care ^^ - you can determine witch glitches appear https://worms2d.info/Colour_map#Colour_limitation - and sometimes my maps just work maxium minimum ;) with glitchy (intended) grey destroyed-soil border - and minimal waves/no clouds no background etc. =)

I'd even like more minimalistic graphics in worms – my dream for lowest graphic setting would be:
-destroyed soil is always pure black
-no waves at all
-no bubbles
-"burned" soil pure grey (or free setting for color of burned soil)
-... the less the better ^^

TUS scheme maker doesn't do that. It saves the scheme as it is.
That's a good thing imo - rubberworm via hostingbuddy made possible  :)

Also I noticed simmilar difference uploading maps here compared to WMDB –
I like minimalistic maps and sometimes like to have maps glitch on purpose ("burned" soil is plain grey, soil is completely removed [no dinosaur bones ans stuff ^^]) - WMDB seems to "fix" this - TUS let me upload with (intentional) glitchy colormap  8)

(compare http://wmdb.org/30677 and https://www.tus-wa.com/maps/map-16744/ - same file for origin - different behaviour)

Good work MonkeyIsland   :)

This is why SchemeEddy is one of the worst scheme editors, because it misleads new players into enabling nonexistent scheme options.

I see - wonder if the TUS scheme builder also repairs that (and just allows unused settings, that are important for rubber) - or if there are manny corrupt schemes here…

And - one reason i sometimes miss Worms 2 with precise setting for everything.

It does but it's reaaaaally harder than just custom hosting and it's basically useless if the ones who get in your game don't have Rubber Worm

Well - any rubber scheme is useless if not all players have rubber  ;)
You can tell people to type /tellv to verify if they have it.

The best way would really be - upload scheme to TUS and load with !tusscheme ####

As
a) some values aren't acepted by hosting buddy - like "!crates armag 25" for 10% rubber hb sais "Invalid crate propability: valid values are 0-5"
b) wsdb always "repairs" schemes with rubber settings  :-X

Rubber settings are stored in unused values like i.e. crate propability of french sheep strike (witch doesn't have any efect on normal game).
At http://worms2d.info/RubberWorm you can look up witch values are used for rubber features.

!crates french 5 i.e. activates antisink feature.

« on: June 07, 2016, 09:14 AM »
IMO changing the scancode map is a better way to remap windows keys -
using scancode map changes you can avoid ahk (no lag, not beeing acused for cheating ^^)

I i.e. remapped LeftWin to Enter.

https://www.experts-exchange.com/articles/2155/Keyboard-Remapping-CAPSLOCK-to-Ctrl-and-Beyond.html

But if you just whant to disable it - there are quite manny tools for it (worms is not the only game were it would be disturbing ^^).

Ahoihoi!

i uploaded this map https://www.tus-wa.com/maps/map-16629/ also to wmdb.org (2 times) and it got deleted without notice both times.
Any thought why it got deleted? And who is the Admin of WMDB, who deletes maps there?

Seeing the manny shitty, ugly, not working maps on wmdb - I don't get why mine should be deleted...
Tested it - it worked. Strange...

sunny regards

However after reading what aik said about newer/older models, i've only had mine for about a year or something, perhaps I have an older model that is better than the one you had? I could accept that :)

Well – I don't know that for sure. Never got to test it. Just based on amazon reviews – and they didn't metion lag, just "2-key-then-ghosting".

Or just rope with a touch screen  :P imagine that haha

It's about what you like ;P

But I honestly crave for a working roping game on mobile devices... it's just… yeah the touchscreen thing ;)
