other ideas:

-an asbolute MINIMUM of at least 12 different terrain themes at launch, preferably more, each with its own song/ambiance

-paid DLC. Hear me out! Instead of allowing users to simply make custom hats and wear them, the game should come with a large amount of hats and speech banks from the start. However, they should offer other hats, speech banks, and various customizations as paid options... even a paid option to use custom hats and speech banks. This would bring in money for Team17 and hopefully allow them the possibility of keeping the base price of the game down. Of course I only support this idea if the base game itself includes a decent amount of hats and speech banks from the start and doesn't force players to buy them so they don't look and sound like everyone else.
haha i love it when people talk about hats

ill never play a better game at a better time than WA when it came out.  ive given up on finding a game that i want to play as much or that had as good a community.  ive played maybe 3-4 hours of video games in the last month, don't know if im just tired of them or what.....but im wasting my time hoping t17 will make a good game again, its not happening.  it would be amazing if this game had matchmaking & an active community and you could play 2v2 or even 3v3 clan wars, but that aint happening, and andy davidson isnt walking in that door.  this is me giving up.

:)

It's not giving up, it's letting it rest in peace, your memories and good times will not vanish. I would rather see W:A shut down and remember it for what it was than trying to re-make the same game over and over and seeing it fail every single time (by T17). The current gamer generation is totally different to our generation. The game we loved would not survive and will not become popular even if it was shiny and well made. W:A is not a timeless classic like Mozart because it needs other players to fully enjoy at maximum entertainment. I am grateful to have experienced the glory of W:A and do not seek replacement.

Rope looks good, I would be interested in testing the rope in-depth so send me a PM if I can participate. :)

I won't give up hoping a Canadian player called Kiyari (used to be in SfX) will announce his comeback. I really enjoyed playing with him back in the days but lost contact pretty sudden.

I am ready to comeback when the warmer/rope community is in full swing as well as a reasonable competitive clanner scene develops again. If not, I will see you in the after-life guys. :D
Maybe in the future some of us will meet in a new worms game as good as W:A is. Unlikely but a possibility.

I don't mind starting out bad and working up, I have 250hours used to be LEM as well, no idea where I am now didn't do my placement matches. If you wanna try-hard I guess that's not gonna work since we are not on the same level, it would be a fun meme team first and foremost.

Gaming Central / CS:GO team?
March 09, 2018, 05:56 PM
Hello guys, I wonder, is anyone interested in making a CS:GO team consisting of W:A players? I talked to sensei on his stream and he said there are quite a few people playing CS:GO in W:A, so how about it? Probably should all be from EU because of ping. :)

Playerlist:

Anubis: Any day 17:00GMT+
Senator: Next Weekend and then every day 17:00GMT+
Sensei: Any day 17:00GMT+
Csongi: Mo-Fr: 13:00-17:00 GMT Weekend: Evening

I'm not bored with the game itself. The reason why I find it boring these days is because of the lack of veteran players, and not only just because they are more skilled, but because I've known them longer and knew them better. Most of the people who play these days are random newbies who only play shopper, mole, and intermediate. You never see anyone play Team17, Elite, CTF, WFW, BR, etc. Lots of them do not speak English either, which really sucks.

I think that if the game were active and full of vets I'd probably never get bored with it... but then again I've taken breaks when it was active, so maybe I'm just romanticizing a bit.

I guess I just need to find some newer multiplayer game that I can get addicted to.

The most important part about any online game is the community and the people you play with. I am not surprised you find it boring at all. The same happened to me around 2010+ onwards, the people that made W:A great for me simply stopped playing. The game is just the playground but without the right people there is no fun to be had. That's why I said W:A will always be dead to me. My only hope is a new worms game that would create a new community similar to the one I enjoyed, which is a very slim chance considering T17 f@#!s up the mechanics that would support such a community quite well.

I will never be bored of roping as a game mechanic. But it's no fun doing it alone at a high level.

The audience I used to thrive in does not exist anymore, it's been a long ride but it is likely over for me. At least I can keep the memories I have closely, pretty sure I will not forget W:A ever.

He's probably the only one left with motivation to do anything for W:A, better than nothing.
