NNN clan has the pleasure to present you the 1st NNN Cup

Description
This cup is intended to be the 1st of a series that will occur every ONL seasons, except the 1st season of each year - due to, in the 1st season of each year, we already have the overall PO as well as the usual seasonal PO. Among others, one of the main reasons for this cup creation is in thinking of the ONL players who don't get the chance to reach the final PO of each season and who rarely have the chance to join our One-Evenings tourneys, due its specific time demanding. So, now we are happy to make that everyone have the opportunity to play a regular tourney format competition among our community.
The cup will start with a sign-in period and it will automatically closed since it reaches 32 players. If the sign-in period expires and we will not get 32 players, the cup of the current season is cancelled.
The format is a simple tree with no group stage. Every stage of the cup tree has a well defined time period to be played. If a game of some stage will not be played before the time for that stage is finish, the player who has demonstrated the higher keen to arrange the game will advance for the next stage.


Time schedule
  • Sign in starts now and finishes at July 17th.
  • 1st stage ends at August 7th.
  • 2nd stage ends at August 28th
  • Quarter-finals end at September 11th
  • Semi-finals end at September 21st
  • Final and 3rd place game, end at September 30th

Leagues General / What's the sense of TNL?

Really, nobody plays it. And, of course it's not a scheme problem, because NNNL (ONL) is with a great activity.
I don't see a sense to put intermediate in a separate and dedicated league. It seems a bit a scheme discrimination  :)

But the strongest fact is that almost nobody plays it. And yeah, that's a fact. So, why not put intermediate in one of other 2 leagues?
About that, my opinion is classic league because, if one scheme is classic, that's scheme is intermediate. You know that. The game was built around this scheme and it's the most classic and with the biggest number of lovers at WormNet (if you take into account the number of players that play it at ONL or just for fun).
So, I think that TUS will get much more worth if you re-put the inter scheme into the classic league again.
I suggest to play it as bo3 but, if both players aren't in agreement to play a bo3 game (time issues, or others) it's obligate to play the bo1 game with a complex enough cave map.

General discussion / Red Color Movement

No, this has nothing to do with the best football club in the world ever (SL Benfica, of course) neither with communism or politics.

A large number of worms players has their favorite color and makes question to choose that color to their team.
I am a red color fan and I would like to choose red for my team. I say "would like" because our favorite game has one color named "red" that is everything except red. I don't know if there are any particular reason for that, but I don't see one.

I'm simple asking if there are other players, mainly those which like red color, that would like to see WA with a true red that can been chosen as a team color. If a good number of players have this wish too, we could add this subject T17 forum and ask Cybershadow/Deadcode if it is possible to make this wish true. Yes, I know that are other issues much, much, more important than this but, the small causes must be defended too. I don't have an idea, but I imagine that, for they, this would not be hard to change. Ok, probably not like change a constant value in a C program, but...  ;D

This tourney has an extra motivation. Beyond the medals at the player profile, it will award 100, 50 and 25 ONL points to the first, second and third place, respectively.
