Edit: We just played two games of Holy Wars with Ledan, and that scheme also seems wacky? There were Crate Showers, Damage*2, and all crate weapons had 15-star power! And we thought grenades in Grendae Wars were powerful. Nope, Holy Wars grenades are ridiciulous (and getting them from crate showers is also ridiculous. Scheme felt like a funner HostingBuddy scheme lol.

I have played several Boom Races since my return, and none of the players wanted to play with the original single shot a turn scheme. They all preferred a scheme with sdet+ldet.
Why don't we update the Boom Race scheme then? We already updated the Darts scheme, so I don't see any reason to not do the same for the Boom Race.
Since MonkeyIsland prefers us to upload a separate scheme instead of updating an old one, here is a Boom Race scheme with anti-sink, ldet and sdet (if this scheme has any issues, please let me know):

Hmmm, reading that over, when I mentioned Lupastic it was merely because he's the main person I see actually play Tower Race, every Tower Race played in the year was him almost?
So it's not a dig at him, just using it as a statistic.

Certain players avoid still probably but it really doesn't matter much with ELO system, since there is less games played, most people aren't at the ELO they should be at. For instance, there was a time where komo was getting 2 or 3 points for a bng game against a noob when his rating was 2500 or 2600.
To most of the good players, standings and ratings don't mean shit, only playoff performance. Jeff aka oldsock never had super high ELO ratings, but won 3 league championships in 4 seasons or back to back to back, can't remember, one against Random00, the top ELO player from first era of Tus. Legendary performances in maybe the most competitive era of TUS.
I love Chelsea, but chels did a lot of avoiding and acquired high ELO rating but could never get past 1st round of the playoffs.
I say let people play whoever they want. Personally, I've only been playing top players for the last few years on tus, playing their top schemes against them. That is what is interesting to me, I've long since become bored with beating lower level players in schemes they aren't good at. This is all preference though, let people play who they want to play in what schemes they want to play, it's not hurting anyone.
The cream will always rise to the top in bo5 playoff series. Bo7 would even be better, but that's my personal opinion.

What? I never avoided anyone in this game, ever. Is this a trick to get my attention? Because it worked lol.
I guess someone is aliasing me then because nowadays I only join wormnet when there's a confirmed clanner.

Wow, Senator joined? I thought he insisted on playing Team17 only on islands.
Speaking of which, what order should we play the map types in? Both of these ways would alternate who-goes-first fairly, due to the odd number of map types:
- Type1 Type2 Type3 Type1 Type2 Type3 ...
- Type1 Type1 Type2 Type2 Type3 Type3...
I would lean toward Method #1. Both types of course only give the 3 map types equal representation if the number of games played is divisible by 3, but Method #2 is more likely to completely omit some map types from play, whereas Method #1 only requires that at least 3 rounds be played to give each type at least some representation.
Both methods distribute "who goes first" equally among the map types if the number of games played is divisible by 3.
