The point of this topic isn't "guess who".

the point of this topic seems to be to shift the responsibility for someones life from the inner circle (yourself, family members, friends) to the outer circle (online community) which is quite insane. for each case like this, i could mention 3 examples of people finding help in our community during a rough time in real life. the intention of this topic might be good, but in the end its nothing more than to surrender to the old myth of games being responsible for your actions in combination with some weird neoliberal "work is everything" pathos.

Is your argument really that we're not generally responsible for the effects of what we say online? I mean we're responsible for every action we take. Of course we're not responsible for completely unforeseeable effects (like say, someone committing suicide over an online dispute), but we can be responsible for emotional harm if we say pointlessly hurtful things. It's sometimes mostly the offended's responsibility to grow thicker skin, sometimes mostly on the offender to be more tactful, and usually both to differing extents, since responsibility isn't exclusive to one party. It's just about how each party ought to change.

I really see nothing wrong with the suggestion we all look at ourselves to see if any of us are taking this too seriously, or if we've said pointlessly hurtful things. The worst that could happen is that some of us realize, oh yeah, I should be less of a dick.

That damn skunk. I should've just gotten inside your worm to be 100% sure.

But an important note for releasing on the head: always consider whether the skunk will do a long walk across the head and be more likely to hit, or just immediately hop because it sees land in front of it (around either 20 or 50 pix away http://worms2d.info/Animal_Jumping).

Nice one; times with the fewest turns are given precedence, so your first run is better ;O

Wooden Ambush can be shaved down a bit more, but thanks Sensei.

Fascinating early history Kai, you went through so many trials to earn your taps/roping. That gives me some nostalgia; like how gaining the respect of your fellow ropers was one of the best feelings in the world, at least for us as teenagers. It was kind of like being in a group of skaters. Fudo also impressed me on WWP and I probably learned more from him than I realized (we played during my beginner period in 01-03), but I don't remember his taps ever being on your level.

Thanks Wally, yeah we'll think about a larger reach next time we release something, hopefully next summer or before. Maybe if we land a festival of some variety we'll get out there.

I can't think of any CA wormers off the top of my head, I know there've been a few in the past. But if any peeps I even remotely know want to meet up, my band CASTLES is hitting up the bay area, also Reno, Aug 9th to 15th: https://castlesmusic.com/. Or hell, if anyone can even remember someone from the area, lemme know. US wormers in general are quite the rarity these days, but maybe some ancient NBR member is out there, waiting, lurking.

You can walk through worms if they're sliding slowly enough. If I recall, just horizontal velocity matters.

Thanks Dulek, the beginning is alright, the rest is pretty slapped together.

I pity those who must race this atrocity

So my band recorded 3 pretty shweet songs for this guy's podcast, they had a pro photographer on hand to make the video look good too. Although I look like a turtle half the time due to forgetting to make the mic higher:

That's true, I shifted from constant pumps to more fast-timing moves. Those pumps were the shit man, the only problem is that you can't prove you're doing them all intentionally, and they also take time away from other moves! They didn't really catch on though. Someday.

Yeah there could be a prodigy who's been leveling up for the past 16 years in a secret Russian bunker, practicing at 50 times normal gravity and getting electric shocks whenever their worm stops moving at max speed. We would be like flies to such an ubermensch.

Fascinating dude o_o. I was always playing a lot back then though... the super saiyan powerup could've happened during a summer when I had more time than usual. I mostly remember playing funners with you though, maybe part of the explanation was that you didn't see much of my 'league' side at the time.

That's so weird skunk, I never noticed getting a skill jump like that, except when I first came to WA from WWP and started leagues for the first time, like 02-03.

I do remember one thing I did that boosted my TTRR skills; a long time ago I gave myself the challenge of beating all 50 QP maps in under 60 secs, and worked on that for a month or two. It seemed really hard at the time since TTRR was only just emerging, though now a bunch of people can do this. But I went from 'this might be impossible' to 'damn this is easy'.
