What does your username mean/where did it come from?

Mine came from my cousin, acting like a retard, saying my name (Spencer) while drooling, when I was 10 or so.

Hilarious  :D

Nice idea though... although, not sure about the direction you're taking with them. Any specific aims for the remastering? Or just doing what comes to you first...?

Same with me, I'd love to own some merch to represent the game I have a passion for. The worms t-shirt I painted for a convention one year got some quality feedback from people that knew the game.

Those enlarged weapon sprites are mint, that makes live-tracing in Illustrator super easy.

^minimal correction would be needed.

As for any dirty work with tracing required, I don't mind doing any of that. Good point about whether it would be legal to sell anything that actually contains the stuff though-- however, I think we're a creative enough bunch, the radioactive symbol is universal and not bound with copyright chokeholds. Custom sprites of worms (references taken from those 3D worms vids from W2, outlined to look like the in-game sprites) would be easy enough to produce.

How about we get people sketching their ideas for some shirts and we pool them together, figure out what the ones which deserve this work to be done on them, and we work to find a solution? If we're allowed to use sprites for certain aspects-- great! If not, I don't think that's really a limitation.

When I have some free time to sketch, I'll get sketching.

I'm a graphic artist affiliated with this t-shirt site:

I've been planning on making a multitude of WA shirts, I just need to finalize an idea. Time permitting, I could make some cool custom graphics.

Shirts at this place retail for $24, not bad.

If there's an idea everyone can decide on, I can make it happen  ;D

Thank you Nonentity, I'll have some time coming up to mess with cleaning up edges and those trick names. I might re-think the pump tricks as well-- I'll admit, pumps are new to me, and making them feel right with a properly executed one feels a bit out of reach for me, so perhaps I'll avoid putting them in for now (they can be tweaked as more difficult fly-to-target tricks I think, cept Butterfly, which I can change the starting block from.

I'm eager to make another map sometime soon and I'll be considering all the faults of this first when starting the build. Making sure everything snaps to a grid is imperative, I was building this in Illustrator not Photoshop, and it's a lot easier to align things unevenly.

Love the look of this one, I guess I agree about the layout being a bit lacking but still. Nice looking! Reminds me a lot of Cave Story.

Updated the map with that fix, thanks WTF-8  8) , also added the name "descent" to the "double shadow" because I guess that's correct.

Some tricks are undoubtedly pretty hard, but I've done them all many times over the make sure it's all possible  ;) I'd make a replay but I don't think I could do this map in only a few tries EVER

Maps / First Trick Race Map!

Hey guys. Anyone interested in giving this a test play? Just want to know if it has any major issues with either naming conventions, the way the tricks are set up, or otherwise :)

This was really fun to make, so if I can get the hang of it I'll likely make more maps  8)

Cheers!

Hey, I'm no programmer, but I would love to help this in any way I could. Graphics and UI design things in general. Cool project, one I've been thinking about for a long time but didn't know was started.

Yeah that seems like criteria for a different challenge. I like the idea of dissecting this map for everything it's worth through the minds of a bunch of wormers.

I'm pretty noobie at roping still and keep doing pretty basic tricks, but if nothing else this has been awesome practice for me. I'll keep playing around in it every day, maybe an okay replay will come around!

Anyone in contact with popular youtubers? If someone did a let's play or just a fun game/attempt at playing anything rope related would for sure generate interest. If someone who is already popular/has a following gains a liking for the game, others will be infected with that interest surely.

Steam is a good platform to own it on merely for communication reasons, and having a chat overlay can come in handy if you're trying to arrange a game. But it is a clunky and quite ugly program, I don't necessarily like it.
