Quote from: ZexorZ on June 10, 2014, 01:04 PMcan you make this zooming for WA too :D ?
Probably yes, but around the time I implement resizing, since the two are essentially the same things. However I doubt that it will be as smooth as here

Other worms games / Re:

A new version has been released: 0.3

  • It's now possible to zoom the game in addition to the previously introduced real-time window resizing feature in windowed mode. Use your mouse wheel or keyboard! See the readme for the details.
  • Alt+Enter combination has been added: in windowed mode, use it to switch between pseudo-fullscreen and window during the game.
  • Various other improvements: see the GitHub page.

Works just fine on Win 8.1. Make sure you have the latest .NET Framework and don't listen to bullshit.
Is the latest .NET Framework 4.5?
Apparently yes, but I'm not sure which one this app requires specifically.
What do you get when starting the app?

Spoiler! View

Also, it shouldn't ask for a game folder on startup. It's already located in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Team17SoftwareLTD\WormsArmageddon -> PATH

I can apparently edit missions now (with the x64 update thank you!) but  I cannot play my edited mission. Perhaps it is still loading the mission file the from the *.iso? Any ideas?
You need to install wkFileOverride

Quote from: rongyao on June 07, 2014, 02:07 PMAbility to choose 0 width and 0 height for frontend resolution in d3d9wnd.ini for windowed mode, which to get current desktop resolution and set it automatically.
This is what SuperFrontend already does: when the sizes are set to 0, you get your desktop resolution. This is the default in the ini file you get from the website.
If you simply want to stretch it, that's what the "Stretch" option does: fills your whole screen.

apparently that log is from May 16, and today it's June 7. I'm not sure if this is what you needed.

I haven't read through the entire thread and I saw there is a new beta version made that might have fixed the problem already, but one thing I'd like to see fixed is games not being removed from the list after they have started/exit host. This is annoying because people will try to join that host after the game has started and they will complain in pm that the host doesn't work and request a rehost.

Nice work by the way. The wheat snooper is my favorite snooper, good to see it being updated.
that would probably require a wormkit module... there's no communication between the game and snooper there, also have to keep cross-platform in mind. or write some bad crutches...
the easiest solution would be a manual close button

answered in pm

yo there x) i`m back!
sry for offtop. cool module btw. I`ll get w:a on steam soon and will be back i guess :D
Will it work with steam version of w:a btw?
yes. Also in version 0.6.1.2 I have fixed compatibility with steam overlay (where hooks would conflict) so that it now works properly

Quote from: rongyao on June 03, 2014, 11:31 AMThe ingame mouse cursor that is worms colored one stays inside, but the windows cursor in meanwhile i move the game one moves behind worms window and clicks folders or points stuff on the desktop, remaining active there.
I have already explained why this happens, and why there's no window border in frontend. It's not my bug, it's the abomination of team17's DXMFC rendering hybrid for all frontend screens that causes it to render graphics for the controls relative to the screen corner, not the window's corner. I still haven't found where and how to fix it. Currently the secondary window with all mfc controls remains in the corner even when what you see is centered, which causes these problems.
It's not superfrontend which causes the issue. It's simply that there are gaps around the default 640x480 controls area when it's active, and no gaps to hide cursor when it isn't active (if you click something in the top left corner normally, you'll see cursor flashing for a bit when switching the screens)
The solution is simple: don't use centering.

Quote from: rongyao on June 03, 2014, 11:31 AMAnother question, when wkresolution gets released, does wkresolution, wksuperfronted and wkd3d9wnd will get merged into one plugin in near future or they will stay as separate plugins?
wkReSolution is for Worms2. super frontend is currently still under testing phase, and has not been announced officially, it's just a quick hack to change the frontend's dimensions. They won't be merged as one can be used independently of the other, and also superfrontend will likely always stay version-dependent unlike D3D9Wnd.

General discussion / Re: Remapping arrow keys
June 03, 2014, 08:00 AM
The reason why keys are less responsive is because the game runs on foreground in exclusive fullscreen, taking most of the resources on itself, and smashing out the external programs in performance: this has always been the case with arbitrary keychangers that don't work on the low level.
This is one of the reasons for wkRemapKeys: it works at the WA's own code level and therefore eliminates any possible lags.
Another guy also made wkBindKeys, but it is systemwide (every app in your system will be affected) and requires a toggle button to turn off.

I have already posted a link (3rd post in this thread) to the windowed mode wrapper which resolves:

  • Compatibility with the latest systems and GPU drivers
  • Performance issues on Windows 8+
  • Vista and 7 color issues that sometimes could show up even with all the other fixes
Wine does not need this fix, because it already implements its own DD wrapper. The reason why this is windows-only is simple: putting pants on twice causes all sorts of problems.
Hope this helps.

Just verified with version 2.9.0 (the one we released here), and I see my rank as well.

Hello there, i can't see my rank when i use secure logging, could you help me?

I don't get this problem. Did you log in correctly and correctly set up your rank in TUS panel?
Which rank are you using?
Wheat only supports Classic, TEL and Free.

If anything it could be resolved as part of the 2.9.1 fixes that should be released soon.

Quote from: Hakfinn on May 23, 2014, 02:54 PMHmm.. You mean copy and paste? The files from Worms World Party don't work with Worms Armageddon. In Worms World Party the files name is smlfont.bmp, medfont.bmp and bigfont.bmp.
In Worms Armageddon smlfont2.bmp, medfont2.bmp and bigfont2.bmp.
When I copy the file and paste in my Worms Armageddon the game wont work :(
It won't work out of the box, you must adjust russian and hungarian characters at the end. And, of course, rename your files to match.
