This isn't about b2b, not everyone goes for the win, both players here are complaining the other played lame, it makes no sense especially considering both players actually HAVE alot more skill than they used in this match, this is what annoys me is when players have the skill they just don't use it, the reason why people think BnG has to have style to be considered a good game is because it is boring and annoying without it, as simple as that.

Random played in a funner with a bunch of us the other day and he actually played better than all of us, granted we were all arsing about on ventrilo and pissing ourselves laughing the whole time so we weren't really concentrating, but the point still stands, both players are better than this, so why not take advantage of it?

People who complain about BnG like this should both agree there should be no repeats or hiding cowardly with continous digging and zooking.

I know, I already spoke to Random and told him you were playing fair to begin with, I didn't even notice the 4s until he told me (probably because I was watching in fast mode).

I pointed out that you played nowhere near as bad as some do, although the 3 4s grenades were lame, you had the lead you had after the 1st shot through nothing but skill, which is what annoys me even more lol, why would you resort to playing like this when you are playing good enough to hit his hide, without being lame?

And yeah, Random was being pretty lame with the continous zooks in his hide, but he wasn't exactly getting a chance to do anything else.

At the end of the day I see it like this, you were both playing a bit lame, in different ways, but not nearly as bad as alot of players do, the 4s nade was worse because that actually hit while his zooks were just digging.

When I play with someone in a2b, if I get hit into the position where most would just stay and zook, if I am leading, I will normally move to another hide, if I am losing I will take 1, or 2 at the most pops with the zook, not even necessarily at them, but try to zook somewhere they would hide while I have the chance to look further into the game, if you understand this? If I am winning and I get nice wind while in this position, I will take 1 shot simply because it is nice wind and I would have used it whatever my hide, then I will move.

I think the last thing I can say here is, you were both playing under standards here, if you were both playing like this why didn't you both just get out there and fight with honour?

Surely it makes sense for both of you to play with a bit more variety and style, than both play how you both consider lame? Am I right?

Like I have said before, and i'll say it again, I play like my opponent plays, if my opponent even wants to stand a chance he'd better play fairly, the only times I have ever played "lame" is when my opponent has, if my opponent darksides like a coward and does nothing but zook, I will throw 4s rolling grenades, if they start doing repeats to me, I will find a shot and repeat it until they stop, and i'll find it fast, if someone shows me they are desperate to win by playing like this, I can easily just notch a 4s full power and repeat it, I don't like notching as to me it's the worst thing you can do in BnG, but I have done it a few times if the guy I am playing is being unreasonable and disrespectful, just to prove a point, and everytime I have notched to win a game, I haven't reported it because I didn't enjoy doing it.

The whole point to BnG isn't who wins faster, it's winning with some class and dignity.

I can play lame better than anyone if I have to... And it sucks I even have to say this.

You all know how passionate I am about BnG so please don't get mad at me for stating my opinion, I hope I got my point across, again lol.

The fact is benz, the dissapointment here is, you are a really good BnG'r and yet you done those 4s repeats even though Random was playing with style, THAT is what bothers me here, yet, I still respect you as a player in general cuz it ain't exactly a crime, what you done was within the rules and thats fine, just know we think it's lame, I hope we are still cool lol.

Actually after watching this at normal speed, you done the same 4s full pwoer 3 times benz, so yeah, I don't blame him for quitting, repeating like that is pretty lame, you should have done the 3s and 5s lg again instead, you were a fair bit ahead.

To be quite fair I watched the game, and benz was using 3s, 5s lg and 4s, and zook, he done like 1 repeat, and it didn't even take alot of health.

I'd say the benefit is if he beats me, he would still get like 58 points.

And he is about the last good BnG'r with actual skill I haven't played yet.

Hiding on top in a roper is completely different to playing lame in a BnG though.

If you are not as fast as a better player, and you keep getting bad crates, but you are slightly ahead, then it's fine to do this, but like they said before, you can't help bad crates, it's bad luck, so if the other player is getting bad crates and you aren't, or even if you are it makes sense to hide on top to make it easier to get the hard crates to hit them, they chose to hide so they can't get hard crates in the 1st place so I don't see why it's such a big deal.

Playing lame in a BnG is totally different because both players don't have any advantage or disadvantage in terms of crates so using any excuse is lame for doing the same 3s or 4s over and over when there are like 100 different grenade combinations.

It's nothing to with playing for the win, because without knowledge of all the possible shot combinations you leave yourself at a disadvantage, if you know how to bank, and double bank, and use LG, then if you get pushed into a hide where you can't use a straight shot, you can bank or double bank instead of teleporting into another hide thats easy to hit straight away, I wish people would realise this lol, they only leave themselves at a disadvantage.

I wouldn't say it's that bad, I mean, you still need some skill to be able to pull it off, especially on maps like this, doing it on EASY maps I think is lame...

Nice turnout this week ! I love it when 16 show up There was a bit of hassle at the start, not to mention KRD Vs GreeN taking forever with some sort of style competition lol, but eventually things got on, I had to leave to go to the pub during the Semi-Finals so KRD took over the modding for me, so thanks KRD, appreciated (even though you will never see this lol) I got back from the pub when the Finals were underway, but anyway, nice one everyone, thanks for showing up !
