I've been a chain smoker for 5 years and I enjoyed it with all of my soul!
but Komo, if anything, you're the smug one here.Quote from: Komito on May 05, 2011, 10:33 AM
D1, stop being cocky lol, it really doesn't suit you, for a person who claims to be so smart, you are acting like such a retard/dumbass right now, you should KNOW what my point is, and what I am getting at.
You just described yourself!! It's amazing how life works

So funny how you believe in silly statistical numbers etc with your fancy medical degree lol.
It helps that those silly statistics have helped us raise the standard of medicine and is still doing soIf I could not work with statistics, I would not have been able to function in my job, because there's no such thing as 100% certainty in my job.
You can scoff at that, but it says more about you than about me, mate.

Falling out of an airplane CAN kill, it doesn't mean it does 100%

It's not a question of whether I'm cocky or not. It's just a matter of laughing at something ridiculous. Saying smoking isn't all that bad when it's the single most important risk factor in the three leading causes of death (cardiovascular disease, cancer, COPD) is just so silly. And you say it with such certainty, too. I just can't help myself!

It's contradicting that there are some people who live for 90 years and smoke through 70 of those and we al know that smoking kills.
Quote from: CMV on May 05, 2011, 10:38 AM
Yes, that's a little contradicting, afaik the oldest man in the world had smoked until he was 90-something... I think that's an example of positive mutation - though I really can't explain it. I'm suffocating when anyone's smoking in my 5m area, so maybe I'm a little biased...
Quote from: CMV on May 05, 2011, 10:23 AMQuote from: Ray on May 05, 2011, 10:00 AMYou believe in what you want... But after having analysed in a laboratory what a cigarette contains, and having seen its effects on animals, I do believe what I'm saying.
...all those legends about second-hand smoking, that it gives you cancer and makes your life shorter is BULLSHIT!
And again, the atmosphere does not make those toxins disappear. But... whatever, just smoke it.

Go look it up, Komo
Ray, I held back! That's why I just went with "ROFL". I just can't help myself whenever someone says "it's not so bad".
Also, gosh!
Quote from: Ray on May 05, 2011, 10:00 AM
Oh gosh stop it.I'm simply trying to quit smoking, not trying to start a mass debate about smoking. CMV, chill man! I hate those people who endlessly bitch about smokers, be a man and inhale it, all those legends about second-hand smoking, that it gives you cancer and makes your life shorter is BULLSHIT! It's just as likely as a meteor hitting you in the face.
Some things CAN accelerate tumour growth or make it more likely, but the chances of these are so minimal. Either be a man or ask the person smoking next to you politely to go 3 meters away. But don't be bitching like a 90-year-old!

Smoking isn't as bad as people make it out to be, yes it can kill, but so many things can kill, smoking doesn't hurt people as much as literally millions of other unexplained mysterious "accidents" and natural ways of life does, to me it's a luxury I am glad and thankful to have.
Alright, I'm gonna have to go with "ROFL" here.
