If the majority wants a no rule variant, it might be better to start a new poll asking what kind of NrBnG they want (like no rules at all, or with some rules like no invading and no anti full power).

April 18, 2024, 12:46 PMQuote from: FoxHound on April 18, 2024, 12:14 PMNo, I think that only removes private/team messages. I mean something for ALL messages in the replay.
Isn't this the same as the sanitize replay feature we already have? Or is it a different suggestion?

I would like to add that it would be nice to be able to remove chat logs from replays. Most people who play this game have known each other for a long time and sometimes we can discuss private things while playing WA, so the ability to clear the chat log would be nice.

April 16, 2024, 12:55 PMQuote from: preduestniq on April 16, 2024, 12:24 AMIn life, very few things remain constant. there's always chance of things changing for the better in the future, and the only way to witness that is to persevere till the day it becomes a reality. I don't have any knowledge about your personal situation, and how rough it might be to be in your position, but still, I truly hope that you stick around long enough to see that day.
Death is an inevitable part of life that will eventually come for us all, but we likely only have one chance at existence, so there's no need to rush; the door (to way out of this life) will always be open, and I found that extremely comforting during tough times in my life, because even if things got much worse, I knew that the door would always remain open. I was fortunate enough to actually see things change for the better, and there is no reason to believe that you won't see it.
So let's keep moving forward to see what else we can experience in this life until death takes us.
P.S. Also, you listening to Norther, huh? I faintly recall coming across one of their song on Spotify (I think it was Frozen Angel, not sure). I liked the one you shared, the ominous guitar riff midway through the song is nice.

I used to play darts with Hurz a lot but lately I haven't seen him.

Hopefully, he'll return eventually. I also played Darts with him a lot back in the day. He's a good player.

April 14, 2024, 01:55 PMQuote from: Shtaket on April 14, 2024, 01:52 PMThat was only used in some old Darts cups, I think. So, no extra bonus for hitting the bullseye in a row.
I hit 9 four times in a row. I think there used to be some kind of bonus for this or am I mistaken?
Still, very impressive run.

Kirill, your score is 8, not 13, because you touched the ceiling with Rainbow Dash, your first worm, and the rules say "no unmarked contact allowed before reaching your target", i.e. you can only touch wherever the map allows you to touch.
A copy of Saint's now deleted run: 2024-04-14 12.31.46 [Offline] danganronpa.WAgame
- 0:42 is invalid because that worm touched the ceiling.
- 1:07 is invalid because it did not touch the green part.
- 1:37 did not touch the green part as well.
You have to connect your rope to blue, bounce from red, bank your worm from green, and reach the target without touching anywhere else on your way. These are the official rules that Komo put on his map and they are mentioned in the chally description, so you have to follow them.
Quote from: Saint on April 14, 2024, 12:42 PMHehe, yes, I think you already understand why your 45pts run is actually not a 45pts run, but let me explain it for other players just in case.
Guys, read the rules carefully before passing the chally

April 14, 2024, 10:13 AMQuote from: MonkeyIsland on April 14, 2024, 06:59 AMAbsolutely. Not to mention, even if you want to talk about these topics with your fellow wormers, there's nothing stopping you from doing it elsewhere, like on a Discord server.
- Does it help your community to talk about right/left political agendas? (in society: YES, in WormNET: NO)
- Does it help to talk about Hitler? (in society: YES, in WormNET: NO)
- Does it help to talk about religion? (in society: YES, in WormNET: NO)
Quote from: MonkeyIsland on April 14, 2024, 06:59 AM100% truth! You can add me to that list as well. Before my return around December 2023, the last time I was properly active was in 2019. I quit back then because 1) A good portion of my wormer friends became inactive. 2) I had unpleasant experiences with some wormers, directly and indirectly.
People tend to leave your community when they don't like its atmosphere. It is not about growing a pair and being tough. It's not about ignoring what you don't like. TRUST ME! I've ran this show for 15+ years. People have left the community in front of my eyes. Many of those who left were not even the target of some beef. They just didn't like the atmosphere of people pulling each other's hair.
You may call me a p*ssy or whatever for quitting for these reasons, but honestly, I have finite time in this world and near infinite ways I can spend that time, so why should I settle for a shittier option?
And you know what made me return? Friends! Adame, aka LeTotalKiller, messaged me around November and we had a bit of a chat after not speaking to each other for a year or two. We reminisced about the good times we had and decided to make a comeback. So yes, atmosphere is EVERYTHING! Moreso for a 25 years old game like W:A.
Quote from: Kradie on April 14, 2024, 09:46 AMI understand how you feel, Kradie. I live in a country where almost all political parties seem to adapt an authoritarian approach, whether they lean left or right, and I saw the negative consequences of it, so I also prefer freedom/liberty whenever possible. But considering WormNET, and how much people at top (MI, Deadcode, etc.) listen to community, I don't think we will ever have an oppresive police state in W:A. It is a valid concern, but I don't think no moderation is the way to go.
The topic freedom of speech is a very Important value to me and I can get very passionate about it.
Unlike country politics where everyone abides to same laws, you can always create your own community. There is nothing stopping anyone to create their own TUS. Also, W:A already gives so much freedom. For example, replay system allows anyone to start their own competitive outlet. If I don't like the way leagues/cups/tournaments/challenges work on TUS, I can create my own (and I actually created a private UC league with a different ELO system).

April 09, 2024, 05:18 PMQuote from: TheKomodo on April 09, 2024, 04:52 PMYeah, the competition was really fierce. On Darts events, not only I had to be careful against dS admins like you or Hurz, dS players like timo or Marian, but even non-dS players like Zwitter or Pyro was sometimes a threat.
Remember when Darts first started Triad? You had Tournaments where people used 3 maps for the entire Tournament, they practised beforehand and the skill level was higher and more impressive.
I think whenever I'll host a new Darts event, I'll try to use a specific map pack like the WO days.
Quote from: TheKomodo on April 09, 2024, 04:52 PMIndeed, reminds me of people who play Dust 2 over and over again in CSGO. When these people play on any other map, they really have a harder time.
In FPS games, you could be the best mechanical player, able to draw and shoot faster and with more accuracy than any other player in the world, but if you're up against the other top 20 players in the world, and they all played the map for a few weeks, and it's your first time, you're going to lose for a while before you learn the environment.
