TUS Discussion / Site-wide members log showing clan changes
« on: September 20, 2013, 11:34 PM »
It's hard to keep up with who's in what clan with all the clan hopping and whatnot that has been happening recently.
So here's an idea: a page dedicated to showing every clan change site-wide. So pretty much like like a regular clan members log, but combined for every clan there is. Bonus points for an option to include it on the homepage.

Bug Report / Worms stylesheet missing clan chat button

There is no way to activate the clan chat with this style.

[BeW`DarkOne`TdC] and honestly, I'm surprised that cluster only did 50-ish damage to 2 of those
[BeW`DarkOne`TdC] did it get powered down more?
[RoH`Darkmaul`] might have heard something like that
[RoH`Darkmaul`] blame van

I didn't touch it. :'(

Also, some unlucky turns in this one.

TUS Discussion / Official TUS cups
« on: May 07, 2013, 03:31 AM »
So here's the thing - we're not taking advantage of the home page, cups and tourneys' potential at all. But let's start with the cups and what they're truly missing. My idea:
TUS official cups:
- promoted on the home page,
- highlighted on the cup list,
- trustworthy and strict moderators,
- separate TUS cup ranking to boost their importance,
- scheme rotation every 2 months,
- hall of glory listing previous winners,
- fancy medals, etc.

Seriously, why aren't they a thing yet? Our community loves competition and right now winning a cup is completely insignificant, unprestigious and forgotten after a week. Wasted potential.

Remember that not everyone reads forums and majority of those who do just skims through it. Right column on the home page is designated to promote smaller things and it's working extremely well. (a recent example would be this game: which got +200 downloads solely because of the home page) So we should stick to this kind of marketing, since it's obviously doing its job.

Consider the following part separately: So my idea would be to have 2 official TUS cups running simultaneously, every 2 (3?) months. One for the classic schemes and one for less popular ones, (with an in-depth explanation of the scheme) both of which would count into the same ranking, encouraging people to try new schemes.
I agree with Dulek in the other thread and I think that TRL should focus on popular schemes, since it doesn't actually promote anything else (just take a look at kaos/inter seasons)

tl;dr Stamp some of the cups with a big fat TUS logo.

Very nice scheme choice, this is the mole that can be enjoyed competetively. :P I'll join once it starts.

3:13 3rd game - 0.02s panic cows by dark that won the round. :o

4:27 4th game.
When everything seems lost... Huskyboy comes up with the best abnormal solution ever! :D

I can't download replays here - 'The replay you are looking for does not exist.'

Schemes / Abnormal Scheme Promotion
« on: February 19, 2013, 11:49 PM »
Just to show you guys how awesome Abnormal scheme can be, here's a perfect game from darkmaul which took him... 2 turns to finish. Main idea behind the scheme is too kill all your worms as quickly as possible.

There are actually more moves used exclusively in abnormal and the scheme has more depth to it than we initially thought. It can be enjoyed both as a funner and a competetive scheme. (when hosted bo3-5 with decent maps). My plan is to host a public cup to promote it once we get past the beta-testing that is happening right now, making sure everything is signed and sealed.

Oh, and here's the scheme page with more details:
