question: transparent images

How do you save them?

I run a pretty darn old version of PSP and it doesnt seem to have the option 'Run Optimizer' when I try to save my images. So I can't seem to keep the transparency in. The image background just turns out white.

It's driving me nuts cause I can't seem to create transparent medal images

I could use Corel Painter maybe, but meh, if there's a way to do it with basic PSP I'd be damn happy.

Too many. They are the cup medals for ASC, I need to make new ones every cup

I will have to send you the medals of the first cup though. They got black background now and not transparent, that needs to be fixed. And the cup page is finished and no longer editable by me.

I use psp 3, saving the files as PNG has never given me any trouble with that

Odd D1. I take it when you save all the layers are merged as well? That's when the shit sets in.

That probably should solve it avi, but I cant f'in find where

take a screenshot of your program, maybe i can tell you where to find alpha.

I get 2 options for merging layers, HHC: Merge All (flatten and Merge Visible.
If I do Merge Visible, the transparent parts stay transparent.

I see, i have that option too, but its not 'active'. Maybe the transparent bit needs to be on a seperate layer?
