Just so there is no confusion here this isn't something I decided to do alone, dS discussed it in our private forums and it's something we have discussed for a while to introduce to TFL Darts officially.

The main reasons for Bo3:

Map whoring started to become a small problem, some people would play the same map over and over again or try to force certain maps, this way both players can decide at least 1 map each.

There are many Darts maps now, pretty much all maps have a different style to hit the target, which varies in speed, power, timing, having 3 maps prevents someone from picking 1 map they know you suck at or never practise for example picking Double Deviation or Swoosh it! against players who have no real experience in roping, for this reason we advise players to use the dS Map Picker to randomly select 3 maps, we feel this is fair, of course you can select maps in whatever way you wish.

Darts games on average only last around 6-8 minutes including teleporting at the start, so 3 games max will only take 20-30 minutes which is still less time than other games, it gives a better representation of skill just like Intermediate.

And of course both players can always agree to play Bo1

So WxW will be next, right? Can we start the new season please MI?

I think for the moment i've lost the will to play any kind of singles competitively, I much prefer team games.

Legue activity low so i think trl / hal and tel should keep closed.
