Description:
a2b BnG 1v1

#Party Time

a2b League form of BnG rules apply:

No straight bazooka shots.

No sitters.

No repeat shots.

If you hit someone for 34 HP or less with a shot, you can't use that same shot again until you have either hit them with a different one, or you or they have moved.
If you hit someone for 35 HP or more with a shot, you can't use that same shot again until either you or they have moved.

No 5 second grenades unless used with low gravity or max bounce

All shots should be aimed to explode on impact with the opponents worm - No 3s grenades with 4s fuse, no rollers.

Re-aim the crosshair between every turn, regardless of whether you landed a hit last turn or not.

Don't teleport too close to your opponent's worm (try to stay at least half the map away).

No notching unless you can't help it (ie, your perfect aim is 1 or 2 taps off vertical).

No telecides (teleporting on your opponent when you have low health in order to inflict grave damage on them).

No defensive girders, only use girders for bouncing nades.

No Darksiding - You are not allowed to use a hide where you cannot aim directly at your opponent - If you are pushed into a hide and all you can do is zook/bank grenades, you may attempt up to 3 return shots and if any are successful you must move immediately to a hide where you have a direct angle to shoot towards your opponent, this prevents players hiding in such a way that their opponent has no means of a direct shot giving the "darksider" an unfair advantage.

Shotgun may ONLY be used to edit your hides, it is optional so players may play with/without it.

12s turntime is the official scheme, however 15s can be used if both players agree.

*Some of the rules are quite vague, we trust you to play a2b BnG fairly.*

Bo1 all the way, Final Bo3 / Bronze Bo1

Sign-Ups open @ 19:00pm GMT, Sign-Ups will close and the Tournament will begin after 19:30pm GMT when we have enough players

Tbh I don't see many players online who would play this, but we can always hope, if not we could do a few a2bs instead :)

No, but after 10 minutes nobody signed up, AG was pretty empty except for a few players, but they don't really play BnG anyway.

I'll ask BnG players what day/time they would prefer, hopefully get more players as I want to make this a Tournament that happens every couple weeks.

In better days there was a lot of people, much less now, how about this option - when someone hosts a tournament, he can add to its rules "Games might be played within 1-5 days term"?

In theory it's an amazing idea :)

It works especially well in Final/Bronze, but don't see it working so well in early stages of a Tournament, due to timezones and low activity.

On the other hand, I thought Tournaments were supposed to be live events, which start and play continously until there is a winner?

It's good to have the option to keep a Tournament open for a while for the Final games to finish in the case of players having to leave or having technical difficulties, but personally speaking I wouldn't like players to take advantage of this or get set in a comfort zone of laziness.

Also, i'd love to be able to open signups as soon as the Tournament is created(even up to 1-2 weeks in advance), but the chances of players actually turning up aren't very good :(

I'd definitely do it, if everyone was happy with it, and actually put effort into showing up :)

Sure they were, but time goes, changes happens. Would you like to move a huge pallet manually these days?  ;D

Sensei

Why changing tournament structure and add delayed matches?
Don't we already have cups for that?

XanKriegor

No need to change anything. Hoster just can state that and none would riot, i think.
