There is little to no point in my experience to sit and cry for the starving kids in Africa, or people who are exposed for war. Because these are things that are out of my control. If I were to obsess over things that are out of my control I would be depressed. It is better to focus on what I can control and that is myself.

Of course any individual person cannot "control" Africa alone, but the more people who share a common goal, the more powerful you become and that you can achieve close to anything possible within our physical planet.

That's the whole point, and that's the way people have both been manipulating and been manipulated for eons. Also that being independent is possible and actually beneficial while any sane intelligent person realizes that's the complete opposite from the truth. Yet we're becoming further and further divided, in everything...

However, you alone have the power to change the future of the entire planet, let alone human race, this is due to the butterfly effect.

It's quite simple, strength in combined intellect & numbers, the more "individual" minds that you can influence and harmonize, the more powerful your own projections and manipulation shapes the future of the entire planet, and likely contributes to even the future of the entire universe.

Granted, I know there are very few people on Earth who truly care about this, but when you meet those rare few, it's literally reassuring and comforting to know you're not alone.

How come last few hundred lines here are on-topic, but yesterday's posts weren't?

something tragic would need to happen to WA for me to really consider it

also newer worms games have already seen their demise

Even though I have recently come back to play, I don't see myself sticking around for too long. The older I get, the more guilt I feel over gaming because I know I can always be doing something better with my time, and when I think back to the thousands upon thousands of hours I've put into this game, it makes me sick. This past year off has been great and many things in my life are going far better than they were and I don't want to lose that momentum. This is why I refuse to get internet at home and only game via the wifi hotspot on my phone, because data is limited per month and kinda shitty, so I can't lose hours playing the new Street Fighter / Tekken / King of Fighters games because ping is too bad. (Fighters are main gaming love outside of Worms.) Also, I live in an unfortunate time zone for Worms, so the times I want to play (late evenings) are very quiet on Wormnet.

I dunno. I don't know if I'll ever quit permanently, but I definitely don't feel the desire to play often. I'd rather work on music, or make art, or work in my garden, or do pretty much anything else that doesn't involve sitting on my ass in front of a computer screen.

I actually get this, feeling the same way a bit.

I think I'll retire from competing soon and stick to streaming and organising stuff instead.

I am actually just more genuinely impressed that there is still a community and that this is still going.

I don't know if I will ever play properly again, but I find that a little alarm goes off in my head like once every couple of months to come back to this site and check in.

It's a weird one, the game had so much potential and team17 just didn't seem to care about it. If it came out today it would have seasons, dlc etc.... it's a nice novelty to look back on.

I hope people are playing it for years to come, but I'm pretty much done.

in some ways i'm glad the developers stopped supporting WA because otherwise there wouldn't be the new patches we've seen so far, as well as the Rubberworm and other things that are available in WA
TUS community here is practically dead...

I don't see the point in being here, much less playing at a pro level, including cups and other shit...

No one is interested in this here, and no one appreciates the efforts of other players to raise activity.
Doesn't matter, I won't lose anything if I leave this community forever.
Sooner or later, it will die out, it's inevitable.

However, WA is immortal, and will live in my heart, along with the Sonic universe.
