Description:




Rules:

All matches are 'Best of 3'.

This cup uses a special map made with a special scheme:

There are 2 starting positions, COPS and ROBBERS:



ROBBER ALWAYS GETS 1ST TURN!

It doesn't matter who plays as COPS and who plays ROBBERS first so long as you switch after the first round.

If the score is 1-1 after 2 rounds, you both play the 3rd round both starting at COPS starting position.

The scheme includes the use of bazooka and ONLY the COPS player is allowed to the use the bazooka.

If the ROBBER uses the bazooka they must take a 5 second penalty, if they use the bazooka twice, they automatically lose the round.

You are both allowed to use the bazooka in the case of a 3rd round.

As the COP you must catch up with the ROBBER either on the same turn as the ROBBER finishes or before the ROBBER reaches the finish.

Came up with this idea a while back based on the Cops n Robbers fruit machine here in UK, asked rUNaW4y to make the map, and honestly what a map he's made!

Hope you all enjoy!

I already wrote a bit about it on Runaway article, since it is a very similar scheme and has the same name as the author of the map, but I will write a full article about it, especially after the cup results.

I didn't write the full article because I'm without my WiFi connection working now, so I'm using the 4.5G of my smartphone. When I fix this, I might be able to play again. I'm considering to join this cup as it's a new cool map and a different scheme, although it's almost the same as BRR, but the Robber has advantage in the beginning, I think it's harder for the cop to reach the robber and zook it.

By the way, I think unlimited health is harder to visualize if the zook hit or not, I would put zero % of fall damage and a very small amount of health (maybe 1HP). It would be nicer, I think.

EDIT:  Oh wait, now I got it, it has unlimited health because the game doesn't end if the Robber is damaged. The zook can be used all the time to push the robber back, right?

Never even knew that existed, but such is life, everything is a copy anyway! :D

Ah crap... Actually thought the zook had zero damage, that's a mistake there but let's just leave the damage on and call it a feature lol.

Batty rope is on anyway so you can hang from the ceilings/walls making it more difficult to hit with zook, let's see how people use this I'm curious, might be a good thing!

If people complain enough, I'll just edit the scheme and make the zook zero damage.

Oh, so the intention was to use the 5 seconds of retreat time provided by the zook only, hmmm... That actually gives the cop more advantage, I think, because the map is very long. I forgot about the retreat time.

Yes, that's the main concept/gimmick of this scheme and why the map is designed the way it is.

The map can be completed in 8-10 turns if you're a good roper, with 40 seconds turns. The robber is one whole turn ahead, which means if the Cop ropes good, he can reach the starting point(even a little further) of the Robber on their first turn.

The idea is that, if both players rope equally well and fast without mistakes, it should take about 8 turns for the Cop to reach the Robber if they use the zook efficiently and get those extra 5 seconds(8x5s=40s).

This is why it's Best of 3 as well, so both players get to play both sides, and if both win as Cop or both win as Robber, they will have a 3rd decider where they both start from the Cop position, both being able to fire the bazooka.

It's actually really fun!
