Well, I've had all 6-7 of my smites ever since last night I made this topic so maybe its a crime to say an opinion, even if other people aren't affected personally

I like your ide René, but then the next question would be that do we need karma at all?
Giving or taking it connected to specific situations is more accurate and objective, but on the other hand, it gives the possibility to easily abuse it (this is the current system).
With your system there would be less interest in the whole karma >> there would be less abuse, but less use as well, so I don't think it would carry more meaning, plus less people would use it at all. This is only my opinion, of course.

A nice idea would have that smite/applaud be like facebook and its "Warlord likes it", so we can see in each post what people liked it and what people didn't
