Description:
.: a2b League proudly presents :.

***   The a2b Championship Cup   ***

.: The time has finally come for the ultimate BnG Cup :.

**   Free entry   **

**   32 players max   **

**   Cash prizes to be won   **

1st place: £50
2nd place: £25
3rd place: £15
4th place: £10

a2b Championship Rules:

  1. No straight bazooka shots.

   2. No sitters.

   3. No repeat shots:

          * If you hit someone for 34 HP or less with a shot, you can't use that same shot again until you have either hit them with a different one, or you or they have moved.
          * If you hit someone for 35 HP or more with a shot, you can't use that same shot again until either you or they have moved.

   4. No 5 second grenades unless used with low gravity or max bounce

   5. All shots should be aimed to explode on impact with the opponents worm - No 3s grenades with 4s fuse, no rollers.

   6. Re-aim the crosshair between every turn, regardless of whether you landed a hit last turn or not.

   7. Don't teleport too close to your opponent's worm (try to stay at least half the map away).

   8. No notching unless you can't help it (ie, your perfect aim is 1 or 2 taps off vertical).

   9. No telecides (teleporting on your opponent when you have low health in order to inflict grave damage on them).

  10. No defensive girders, only use girders for bouncing nades.

  11. No Darksiding - You are not allowed to use a hide where you cannot aim directly at your opponent - If you are pushed into a hide and all you can do is zook/bank grenades, you may attempt up to 3 return shots and if any are successful you must move immediately to a hide where you have a direct angle to shoot towards your opponent, this prevents players hiding in such a way that their opponent has no means of a direct shot giving the "darksider" an unfair advantage.

To be honest, I watched that game and I didn't see them notch at all

Then you sir, need glasses, not to sound overly arrogant, but I know how to notch better than anyone, notching is unfortunately how I started out in BnG, I know every single possible shot you can notch, I spent no less than 6 hours every day for about a year notching, I went a whole Tournament missing only 3 shots when I used to notch, I just know when someone is notching, it's just a talent I have, it's just, so obvious when you know what I know, I notched so much, I ended up not needing to anymore lol, the angles just imprinted into my brain like instinct along with using my thumb to re-aim and re-adjust if the 1st shot is slightly off.

Thanks for the support SPW, it's really appreciated someone understands why I made the decision I made, I know how to notch, alot of other people also know how to notch, but they choose not to in TuS games, this isn't about whether it's TuS or a2b, it's about the principal of playing fair and respectful BnG, I sure as hell don't play for the points, because we can hardly even win any anymore, cFc have played 181 BnGs lol, I pick BnG 99% because how much I like to play, clanners+BnG are the best thing ever for me lol.

I've played other clans who do a few repeats, or throw a few roller grenades in a whole game, I don't mind that, if someone repeats a shot like once, or twice if it takes about 50% damage, or throw 4s grenades like they are 3s, if it's a kinda hard hide, but what you done (5150) was just, horrible, it makes me cringe to even think about it...

If darKz wants to enter, PLEASE let me know ASAP exactly when he will be able to play, or better yet get him to PM me, it looks like I won't start this until the #92 BnG Cup is over, which will probably be at least a week anyway.

not to sound overly arrogant

Just to let you know, you're failing miserably in that aspect. And to be disappointed that someone notched after

I notched so much, I ended up not needing to anymore lol

is just so hypocritical that it would make a politician flinch, even *if* they were notching. The shots where you accused him of notching didn't look anything like notching to me (which btw was the reason I stopped playing BnG altogether) except maybe one zook shot.

But as I said: it's your cup, you do what you need to do with it.

I said that to give an example why I have knowledge about notching.

Your eyes deceive you.

The taps were too bulky for notching.
Please give some times in the replay where you think they're notching.

Lol, no they weren't, you can notch in 2's and 4's as well as 1's btw.

3 or 4 groups imbalanced, however it was hard to make perfect seeding with this number of good bng'ers, surely could be better manually

Yes, I used "Smart Pair" and MI informed me the process is reversed, making it unfair, so MI reset the pairs for me, and we paired them up normally without using the "smart pair" option, now there are no more groups with 3 members from the same clan/community, it all looks good to me.

But yeah, doesn't matter how the groups seed, there will be at least 2-3 very good players in each group, at least it isn't groups full of the same clans/communities anymore.

Yeah, if you pair fairly clans there will be allways leak in skill level in few groups and viceversa

Indeed, now it's looking good, a few groups a little stronger than others, but I think every group is strong, everyone has a chance, but like you said with this many good BnGrs you can't avoid it lol

Well, I already noticed the groups were paired with too many same clan/community members in the same group with the "smart pair", I just didn't realise "smart pair" wasn't working properly and actually does the opposite of what it is supposed to lol, and yeah it was you that informed me of THAT, so thanks lol.

But I was just saying to coste he is right it is hard to make perfect seeding with as many good BnGrs as we have (especially 11 b2b members) lol.
