Welcome the the BIG TTRR Cup!



Scheme:

Map:
Basically it is a TTRR cup played in wider ttrr maps - as wide as standard bigrr maps.
The maps should be not much longer than for a ~20-40s turn time.

- 4 worms each team

Truth is: Not all people in that cup are as skilled as the people you mentioned. But we should be grateful that there was a turnout, and that there could be more just like that.

Imagine if there was a big turnout with people whom you may not think are at the same caliber as older players, and a person could say ''This turnout is bad because they lack skill''. Okay, so that could be true but it could also be discouraging.

Here's another example but not much related to turnout but truth: At the school yard you are going to play football with your class mates. You and Person B are standing in front of the class, and each of you get to decide whom you want to be in your team. Obviously anyone who are in this position who chooses would choose the best player available, and this would leave the worst player at the end. This is also truth.

But as I am writing this I am starting to understand your perspective . I always labelled ''turnout'' with X number of people that joined rather than skill. You to my understanding, simply meant ''This is a great turnout among SKILLED people''.

Yeah, well if it's about number of players participating, indeed that other Cup has the win lol!

Though I was specifically talking about the "lineup" of players, not the amount of people who showed up.

Maybe you thought "turnout" instead of lineup?

Both Cups have a good turnout, this Cup has so many legends of the game and highly skilled players compared to anything else I've seen for years though which is very exciting as a massive fan of spectating competitive games!

how is saying the players in this cup are of a higher level than a previous cup shunning anyone?

this cup objectively has higher skilled players.  fact, not to denigrate anyone or admonish any previous cup.  seems like you are taking this personally because you hosted said other cup.

The more people that join this cup, scheduling matches will of course take longer due to family, work and life.

Most will choose an amount of time tune up their roping skills before playing an opponent.

A few will be willing to play at a moment's notice.

Hopefully the deadline's are reasonable.

Yes they are. First I won't set any deadlines.
When it comes to an inactivity rate that no games are played anymore I'll set one and notice the inactive players.
But I will consider that there are other stuff in life than WA ^^
