I don't understand why people join Cups then make no effort to get their games played together.

In fact Foghunter seems to have the most struggle with times to play but is making by FAR the most effort to organize their games.

@RIP @flashR @DioZ Why don't you guys get your head out the sand and start organizing your games

I've tried many times. I'm online almost every day at the same time. I met Dioz yesterday and was offering him to play our cup games. He has refused to play and literally answered that he doesn't care if he doesn't manage to play before the deadline.

I haven't seen RIP for a long time, last time about month ago maybe. Also I have no idea who is Foghunter, never seen him on Wormnet. Maybe it's another alias.

In generl: To be online and present may not always be enough. This is why we have TUS, and discord, valuable tools of communication. Simply to Idle and hope that somebody reaches out may not always yield results. Though I see this can go both ways. But that doesn't absolve you from your signed responsibilities.

If what you say about Dioz is true here about Dioz, then I'd have to say I am shocked. This doesn't look like the person I talked to last time. But then again, he hasn't answered my recent PMs on discord and snooper. Such qualities combined with what FlashR said, should not join a cup nor let alone have responsibilities.

Discord have been blocked in Russia. So it's unavailable atm. Of course, I know a tricky ways to log in, but it's not very convenient, I don't wanna use these on a regular basis. I'm online almost everyday at the same time in snooper though. I'm not sure that he's even gonna read this topic, so making a schedule here seems pointless.

I don't know how it looks like for you. For me it looks like disrespect for other participants. I've been online for 4 hours again and still got no answer. I'm here and ready to play, a few hours before the deadline. But it seems like a waste of time.

To clear this up a bit, reason being deadline is due, and Walrus would have to win 2:0 just to make a tiebreaker, then it would force a deadline extension for them to decide who wins again. SO since he loost 1 game there was no point to continue because no other opponents to play in such a short time.

I REALLY don't understand how you all are playing games with each other here and already have some game results.

How do you coordinate with each other for the games? Do you message each other privately and arrange a time? There's no discussion about this in the group. Who then adds the game results to the tournament table, and how?

Where, DAMN IT, can I find clear and comprehensive information on how all of this works?

I have three periods of 3–4 hours every day when I can play, but how am I supposed to "find" my opponents? I don't have their WhatsApp numbers or phone numbers to call or message them like, "Hey, I'm logging in, let's play."

I've already asked similar questions here, and the answer was, "Just write in the group and agree."

What do I see now? More vague replies that don't help at all.

Can someone explain how I can even start playing at least one tournament game?

What is Wormnet?

I've been playing for 5 years, pretty well in big rr and shopper, playing every day for about 2–4 hours. Well, maybe a bit less now, around 1 hour a day. I've never seen anything like Wormnet. I just launch the game, create a match, someone joins, and we play.

So how do you find each other for tournament games? Do you just log in and wait for one of three people to show up, and then start? I don't believe it. That sounds ridiculous. You could end up waiting for hours and still miss each other.

@Foghunter Where do you create a game? That's WormNET. It has channels and the post popular one is called "AnythingGoes". You can find your opponents here or use TUS chat to contact them. Set a date and time, then show up on #AnythingGoes.

Thank you. So, I'll log in, look for one of the three nicks, and invite them to play. But if they're not online, I won't be able to find them at all. Interesting. Well, alright, although it's strange.

Then we play, someone wins, but the other says, "No, I won." What happens then? How is it resolved?

All the games we play are recorded automatically by the game engine. These recorded games are called "replays". Replays are saved into:

WA_Folder\User\Games

If you double-click a replay, it will run and play your match exactly the way it went. So that's the proof who won.

To find a player you can:

1. Message them in this cup thread and check if they respond.
2. You can directly contact them via TUS chat. Its icon is in the bottom-right of the screen. If you are not sure how it works, you can send me a message there and I'll reply to you.

Yes that's awesome. W:A is the only game in the Worms franchise that records replays. Thanks to @Deadcode who implemented such great feature.

You can right-click on a replay file and extract scheme/map and much more

By the way, when we win our cup game, we should "report" it. You can see the report link below your group. Reporting is done via uploading your game replay.
