Finished

Description:
It's been a while since a tournament with this scheme has been hosted, so I feel the time is ripe!

The rules for this cup are quite simple. It's basically timetrial: place your worms at the start, rope to the finish. You'll have 3 worms each and worm gets one attempt to reach the finish.

Be nice with your placement! Don't get in the way of your opponent and such. Try not to stack the worms if it's possible.
If you lose time because your opponent ignored this or by accident (it happens!), just unstack the worms, aim your rope horizontal, skip turn and you can still have your turn with that worm. If you lose time and leave the start, that's your choice and you won't be allowed to go back to start and try again with that worm.

You have to activate low gravity every turn *before* you start roping. If you forget to activate it, rope back to the start, aim your rope horizontal and skip turn: you'll get another try with that worm.

The worm with the lowest turn time wins! If no worm finishes, the worm that got furthest will win.
The games will be best of 3, both in the group phase and in the knockout phase.

Map choices: no oneturners of the classic RR schemes and no abnormally huge maps (we don't want turns of 300 seconds as the winning time).

If you can't reach your opponent on WN, msn, IRC and whatnot: use the PM function on this site. Everybody is signed up here, so there's no excuse for not using that!

If you sign up, I suggest practicing this a bit offline, since LG RR is not the same as slomo RR. That's about it!

Knockouts have started now!

I want to see more activity in getting your games played (this means activity that I can actually see!)
Use the forums, use the PM function (and send me a carbon copy, so I can actually see you're doing your best!)

And most of all, report your games when they're played (I'm looking at you, Dibz!)

Yeah same here, but I`ll be around now, we should easily get the games done so active that we all are!

I suggest using the PM function of the site now, though, considering activity hasn't helped out so far :)

Yeah good idea D1. Yet, I believe people are maybe abit busy playing in the olympics (and they chose this over playing cup games)  :o Postponing the cup til after the Olympics are over might be an idea?

The olympics (and generally, christmas holidays, really) were the reason I had not yet set a deadline :)
However, the olympics are not a 24/7 deal (in practice, that is; nobody likes every scheme) so I would still urge people to try to arrange their games :)

LGTT games don't last too long, do they?

Beer! Get active!

Good, good! :)
I sent those people a pm to get things started, but my fingers are itching to replace at least one of them with Flori (since he seemed more eager!)

I mentioned you, cause we have to play our games and I had IRC on in AG for a long time while you never messaged me

You guys need to realise that posts such as these are no longer enough. I wanna see proof of you doing your best to arrange your games. That means setting times! The site has a PM system for a reason. I suggest urge you to use it.

Right, holidays are over, so this is your final week!

I want to be able to see whether you've tried or not now (sorry, but it seems necessary in order to get games played)

In case no games are played, I'm going to make these decisions:

Group 1: Almost no games played! It seems I'll have to have a lottery here to decide the winner. Crash has won his one game, so he seems a favourite to go through.
Group 4: TenoriTaiga is out of the cup if he doesn't play

Regardless of posts, I suggest that people get to WN saturday 7:00 PM GMT to get their games played.

If you are certain you can't get on WN at that time, then please post a different time for your opponent.
