@Rok: when your worm is past the stage where it can fall safely (ie will take damage) its turn is ended and it does not interact with the crates as such but merely as terrain :) learned it playing the last WA training mission with ropes and crates :p

A late follow-up, Deset:

There appears to be a limit of the damage a falling worm can take and still be able to pick a crate, but I don't know what the limit is. I'm pretty sure I once picked up a crate while falling and then lost 2 hps.
