Picker sucks for Tournaments/Cups, even more so that everyone is out of practise, what makes Darts great(In these events) is being able to practise a set of maps and actually seeing real competition, instead of complete noobs every f**king game because of random maps you haven't played for like a year. Also, if we use picker, there is no point playing if you aren't an experienced Darter lol.

Picker is great for practise/dS Tours, but not these imo.

@Hurz - Could you maybe change Gildarts though, the start there sucks, bit far from the part you need to connect and people end up plopping.

Hes just pointing out that its the trickiest/riskiest map when it comes to actually attaching to the hand left. And he got a point there you can not argue that its not true lol.

Id not want it to change but perhapd a special version with an anti plop zone could be made for the cup? Just an idea because it really is a sweet map

There isn't one person here who doesn't have time to practise, you are all pretty active and can choose to spend the time if you want, if you have time to play WA, you have time to practise for a Cup.

Say what you want but Darts Tournaments/Cups(On TuS) are always more successful when there are set maps instead of picker, at least statistically. From what I remember, there were always complaints when picker was used because people didn't know rules for that specific map, or they just sucked so much it ruined the fun.

I understand you like picker better mate, but please look at the bigger picture and what's better for everyone, including noobs.


@Piki, sure an edited version would be good but would have to make sure everyone downloads it, it is a nice map, I still feel it'd be less complicated to simply replace it though.

Well that's the point, it should be skill competition, not seeing who has the most free time / who can make it their highest priority.

You are looking at it backwards, it would benefit the 'noobs' more to use picker, seeing as everyone is out of practice anyway. Better for both players to go in cold.

It's one of the reasons darts started to die out imo, it became more of a memory test than an actual game. But, it's Hurz's cup, he can decide.
