[Classic] Elite Cup: Knockout Stages
« on: February 25, 2009, 12:40 AM »
***The knockout stages for elite cup have been moved to this topic: HERE***

OK, first off, once I double checked all the tables, I will then create the groups.

The tables for the knockout stages will be created shortly, I have not had the time yet, and wednesday is never a good day for me doing things like this, way way too busy. Thursday at the very latest the knockout stages can commence. Sorry for the time gap.

One big snag is because two groups had zilch results, who will be filling in their places? Do I pick people out of the hat who did well but not got through? So on... Suggestions welcome

RULES FOR KNOCKOUT STAGES.
Once again it is best of three games! Whoever loses is knocked out the cup.
Same rules as before otherwise (use common sense when applying them)

For the semi finals, the losers will play a third place play-off.

Table for knockout stages:
Table removed thanks to bitch wagon. KinslayeR can put the new one up.

I'd cut off groups C, I, K and P, and had 24-12-6 and 3 finalists...
I and P players have no games at all, C and K players have only 1 game played, everyone else that goes further have at least 2 games played, it's fair...
huh?

As I mentioned there were two groups with no games whatsoever. Group I/P: None of them will go through, and they have probably found themselves in the blacklist. Group C/K: I will contact the people who played to see if they are still active and what not.

I posted quite the same in the other thread with the tables and you even replied (on the last page [4])...
but nevertheless, it's more important for me to know what will happen with me in the next stage :S

Ye, it's going kinda slow, even the deadline for the 1st round was too long, imo. If it's continuing like this, finals will be held in spring, lol.

I apologize for it.
I'm coding for cups atm.
Due to massive misunderstandings: MonkeyIsland refers to an island not a monkey. I would be a monkey, if my name was IslandMonkey meaning a monkey who is or lives on an island. MonkeyIsland is an island which is related to monkeys. Also there's been a legend around saying MonkeyIsland is a game. So please, think of me as an island or a game.

OK Tables are about to go up.

There are some notes on who went through on the knockout stages, specifically due to the empty tables, there were three places up for grabs. I have given these to pr, beer and the loser of maeckes.v.flint game, as they would have been the top 3 losers, based on total points, and rounds won.

But I won my group(L) so why I have to play vs winner of group H?  :'(
as far as I remeber it should be winner vs someone who was second in his group ;)
But here first(koras) vs first(medal) and second Dark vs second mackes 8)

I'd say semis Bo5 and finals maybe even Bo9.

Edit: Dunno, but I'm a Bo5 (minimum) fan at all, you know. XD
