New cups
« on: March 23, 2010, 08:05 PM »
'lo there,

Less cups are being played now, so there's room for new ones!
I'm gonna set up a new one for schemes that are played relatively less, but I need to know which scheme would be most welcomed.

You can choose between these:
  • BnA
  • Boomrace
  • Bungeerace (Darkmaul)
  • Jetpack race
  • Moleshopper (van, Warg, Dmitry85)
  • Walk for weapons (doubletime) (with rules against sticking with one weapon box for too long)

in principal, I'm going to be hosting one cup, but if there's a close tie between 2 (or maybe even 3), then I wouldn't mind hosting more.
Let me know which one(s) you prefer :)

But if you're going to sign up, I'm gonna need you to do your best to get the games played! That means not signing up if you know you're going to be busy soon.

Moleshopper as it's the only scheme listed containing a bit of strategy. ;)
Why not transform your post to a poll? You'd definitely get more votes, D1.

I don't mind if people want to participate in more than one of those schemes :)

Didn't feel like hosting a battlerace cup is the short answer. Perhaps later on, though :)
Or you could host one yourself

You can always make a multi-selective poll, just saying... :P

I vote for elite pwnage v3, t17 pwnage v3, ttrr pwnage v1...

Basically schemes that are popular with the majority of tus players.

Seems better to host cups that people will actually want to participate in, rather than lesser played schemes of which people dont really care whether they win or loose :D

then it's a good thing I didn't include those schemes in my list  :P

Just because they don't care whether they win the cup or not doesn't mean they won't try to win it. But the bonus for these type of schemes is that they won't try to bend the rules and get cheap wins (in theory, of course, there's always an exception as I've noticed earlier)
Besides, elite, t17 and ttrr get their fair share of activity already, don't you think?

People play those schemes anyway, in my opinion, Cups and Tournaments are meant to be the "less popular" schemes.

You can try to host with scheme #98. It's with standard weapons power and balanced crate rate!

Most definetly wfw. I think it is a common free scheme and getting atleast 16/20 ppl shouldn't be a problem. Make sure you have a mappack with 10-15 maps and anti fort rule and in addition have 3 worm selects =D

What do you think this thread is for? ::)

Then it would be a good idea to attach a poll to this thread, as has been suggested already.
