We're going off on a tangent. No point in doing this.  Let me try and bring it back on track.

I think the point is Komo, and I'll say it again.  Really simple.

1) You gave your opinion on this subject.
2) I disagreed with this opinion.
3) Myself and some other people asked you a few questions.
4) Your answers to these questions did not seem to fit exactly with (1)
5) The explanations as to why your answers to (3) did fit with (1) were also unconvincing.

Let's go back in time.

Cueshark - "Would have sympathy for a 15 year old child who stole a loaf of bread because their parents didn't feed them properly?"

Komo - "No, I'd have no sympathy for her because she is a criminal".

THAT would have fitted perfectly with your opinion on (1) and I would have just said, fair enough.  That's your opinion etc.

But you didn't.  You started saying that you would give sympathy for her life, not her crime and all that stuff which I think contradicted what you said at (1).  You can argue all you want and get stressed.  Your justification was not convincing.

I am always reluctant to imply I know the thoughts of others but I don't think your justifications were convincing to anyone reading this forum.  This is your fault not ours.

Do you even realise that even still being challenged like this, by so many people here, I am still passionate about this debate, to take the flames, to take the bullshit from people, and still fight my case and never change my opinion, no matter what the consequences are, do you know how hard that is sometimes? No matter how many people on this forum disagree with my opinion on this? And I really don't care what any of you think because I know for a fact, there are bloody millions of people out there who share my opinion about this specific topic, at least I always say exactly what I think, and thats why some people really do respect me.

Komo, you should know that you have contradicted yourself countless times during this debate.  You have added on to your stance so it makes it look like you haven't lost... like how you first said criminals deserve no sympathy, then the crime deserves no sympathy, then the person's life's sympathy is a whole other category, blah blah blah.... you made so many different categories and genres of sympathy... you are just bullshitting because you refuse to admit you were wrong from the start.

I think everyone who is still involved in this debate knows you have been contradicting yourself, making new statements, changing previous statements, and keep regressing.  They are just politely trying to tell you that you are full of shit and too proud to admit you've made a fool of yourself. Yeah, that's funny cuz, i've even continued to say I stick by my original post, why can't you just let me have my opinion without coming up with all this stuff saying I am contradicting myself?

I will admit my very 1st statement "Criminals are scum, they are pathetic, they have NO REASON or deserve NO SYMPATHY whatsoever for their actions, no matter how little or how big the crime." was vague, I do see how you could THINK I am contradicting myself but I am not, I should have explained it more in-depth to begin with.

But I would hope Shyguy could relate to the fact I can seperate the sympathy for a crime and sympathy for whatever has happened to that persons life that has nothing to do with the crime, I don't see why they should be put together because a person's mental status can snap and change without them even having control, seeing as he believes in "restorative justice" because I am sure he wouldn't have sympathy for someone killing someone else, but would have sympathy to feel they deserve a 2nd chance.

I dont have any less respect for komo because of all this, but man, saying that you wouldnt have sympathy for your gf if she was sentenced for manslaughter even though SHE WAS THE VICTIM OF AN UNPROVOKED ATTACK, is just plain wrong! Of course you'd have sympathy for her... of course you would... you'd be FUMING WITH RAGE! Any person with a basic understanding of right and wrong, and the capability of distinguishing between MAN MADE LAWS (that in alot of cases benefit the the criminal more so than the victims of crime), would have ENORMOUS amounts of sympathy for people in these sorts of situations.

I dont just think its wrong of you (which it is) to say that you'd have no sympathy for your GIRLFRIEND if she got sent down due to being THE VICTIM OF AN UNPROVOKED ATTACK, FOR BEING IN THE WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME, I dont even BELIEVE you. To clarify, being convicted of an apparent "crime", and being right and wrong, or good or bad, are completely seperate things. ANYONE who's working ok in the head would have sympathy for a loved one who was the victim of an unprovoked attack and got sent down for DEFENDING THEMSELVES!

You are probably right Nail, certain things that happen could probably change my opinion, but, saying that, if she WAS innocent, then she hasn't committed a crime has she? That's the way I would choose to see it, whether I was right or wrong, I couldn't let myself see it any other way, do you understand what I mean, I chose not to answer this question before because I really do love her and want to spend the rest of my live with her, and I honestly don't know what I would do without her, we bounce off each other so much, right now she is the best thing I have in my life, of course I would be angry, and upset, and probably have other feelings I couldn't describe with simple words.

You can all say I am contradicting myself all you want, I really really don't care anymore, this is just the way I see it, the way I choose to see things and you all have no choice but to live with it.

If nails scenario was true, I would honestly not see her as committing a crime, I don't find "accidents" crime, I couldn't call someone who crashed a car and the passenger was killed a criminal unless they were drink/driving, but if it was an innocent accident, like myself and m3ntal a few years back, m3ntal almost got me and my brother killed when his car crashed, instead we were extremely lucky and all 3 of us walked out with minor injurys, if we had died, I wouldn't consider m3ntal a criminal because it was obviously an accident.

I am not contradicting myself, I just don't see accidents as crimes, so how could I see the people involved as criminals? Criminals to me ane people who commit crimes on purpose and don't have a valid reason for it, and I guess the valid reason would differ on who was judging them, I have my judgement and i'm sure you all have yours too.
