yee, basically vegans are very spoiled and difficult to satisfy

It depends on where you live and what you want to eat. Nowadays there are many vegan products over there.

I very hate definitions... eat less meat, eat responsibly, live your life responsibly, behave well, even when you buy a f@#!ing salad... many producers use fertilizers, pesticides which go to the land/water/fish/animals again... more than be cool a say "I am vergetarian, vegan or I am a VEGY" just eat responsibly, whatever you eat, even if you eat stocazzo. this is more important than everything, because if you don't wanna hurt animals but you eat any salad/vegy/fruits without considering their origins etc, you are anyways creating problems to the environment.

True, it is impossible to not affect the environment at all. But meat is a houndred times worse, for each pound of meat, theres enormous amounds of soy, etc. that was grown using pesticides. Also, "organic" meat uses so much land that it would be impossible to feed the world with it. If you care about the environment then factory farming is better. But watch any hidden camera video from factory farms. If you still want to eat those animals, go ahead, but stay away from me and my family please.  ;D

indeed we are too many humans in this world, we should start eating vegans, hopefully they taste of f@#!ing something.

A camera in a farm auhauhauhauah I don't really need to watch any damn camera from a farm, I come from the country side, I have grown up in the middle of a forest with animals and mushrooms...

Modern technology has eliminated the need to consume meat. Plain meat isn't even desirable. Pretty much nobody eats it without globbing on batter, sauces, spices, marinades, etc.

I can eat a plate of plain rice, beans. and corn, and be fully satisfied. The Japanese survived for centuries on rice, vegetables, and fish. Anything that I'm missing in my diet can be replaced by supplements.

No. Not yet.

Do you know of any vegan elite sportsman?

http://metro.co.uk/2015/08/26/13-vegan-athletes-smashing-it-on-a-meat-free-diet-5349835/

There are all kinds of non animal-based protein supplements available, BTW.

most of the athletes on that list arent elite sportsmen

...

the day someone wins an olympic medal in an athletic or aerobic sport being vegan...

IMO, ultramarathoners are like ultra-Olympic athletes.

http://www.gq.com/story/the-real-life-diet-of-the-ultramarathoner-who-gave-up-meat-and-became-vegan

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Jurek

"In 2010, at the 24-Hour World Championships in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France, Jurek won a silver medal behind Shingo Inoue and set a new US record for distance run in 24 hours with 165.7 miles (an average pace of 8 minutes and 42 seconds per mile). Jurek has eaten a meat-free diet since 1997, and a totally plant-based diet since 1999."

I doubt him eating meat at one point in his life fueled him for all the running to come...

I find endurance sports like triathlon and ultramarathon to be much more impressive than burst sports like American football and sprinting. Being able to go long distances has more practical use as well.

In any case, genetics beats diet every time.

You are grasping at straws, ultramarathoners are geared to do one thing and one thing only, cardiovascular fitness.    I would wager that many of them couldn't even do a set of pullups.  It so happens cardiovascular fitness has little to do with the muscle building properties of protein, which happens to be Caye's main argument.  So you've picked out one man from literally an entire pool or traditional diet athletes.  I submit that you have found the exception, rather than the rule.

I firmly believe for the most well rounded athlete possible, meat consumption is a must.  Muscle building is reliant on this, for a vegan or a vegetarian to build muscle like a meat consumer, they must consume tons of supplements of amino acids and proteins that naturally occur in, yeah, thats right, you guessed it - meat.  Last I checked, you couldn't get creatine from eating broccoli.  I couldn't even imagine trying to naturally consume enough protein with a vegan diet to build muscle - you would have to eat bales and bales of quinoa or some other protein rich item.

Then again, you can't reconcile your vegetarianism with consuming fish, so I don't expect you to agree.
