What is your favorite scheme?
« on: August 18, 2021, 01:04 PM »
EDIT: the poll list with schemes names was getting too big and I had some problems after editing (some votes were changed). I chose to bring the options in categories. Below in the comments, you can specify which scheme you prefer.

Intermediate is my favorite scheme for three reasons: is a scheme that allows the player to demonstrate skills acquired in other schemes; depends more on strategy than luck; allows the player to use creativity, making cool moves etc.

Inter/80hp require various skills and it's probably the best schemes ever. But my vote goes to Battle Race, Team17 and Roper because I had the most fun with these schemes.

Can you only choose 1? And is this favourite of all time, or current favourite?

Also, Warmer is missing. Rope Race should diversify between Big RR and TTRR.

IMO you don't have to acquire rope skills from schemes such as Shopper and Roper to be good in Intermediate. Even if you do know how to swing from A to B and do a few extension here and there doesn't make you a pro with rope. Plenty of Intermediate players are bad with rope but doesn't make them bad at Intermediate.

I choose Roper because it showed me that Worms is more than ground based artillery game. Plus it is fast paced and a lot of fun.

I agree, Kradie. It is possible to be very good in intermediate without being pro with the rope. However, a pro rope player can have a certain advantage in intermediate, for example, he can spend only 1 rope making a mexi to move between two points, while someone bad with rope would need 2 ropes for that.

I hate Worms Armageddon and all of its so-called 'schemes', but I must say that Intermediate is more or less tolerable compared to others, so my vote goes to it.

Why are you even here then on a Worms Armageddon forum?

Why are you even here then on a Worms Armageddon forum?

Because every other computer game I've played is complete and utter garbage. Worms Armageddon stands out among them. It sucks less than others, and this is why I play it.

I voted in Project X because WA has no limits there. I played a Specialist scheme that was very interesting there.

Pyroman's PX Rope Race Troll Face map is also amazing, except the troll end which becomes a real challenge and not so funny to play.

I love hang gliding race or whatever it is called.

My favourite scheme I ever played is probably Oinky's Blackout which used Fog of War feature. It was very well balanced and it was a very tactical (normal game) scheme. It is probably lost because the WoSC forum website page is dead and I didn't move the site in time to the new owner domain. I didn't find it in PX forum.

Except Blackout, my current and all-time favourite scheme is Drive for Weapons.

I wish we had 2 votes.

I've chosen roping because it was my first love, and presently my favourite thing to do, which includes using the rope in Darts.

Although, BnG is my most played scheme and the scheme I was mostly passionate during that period, that passion has faded more than my passion for roping.

Although I consider myself a scheme/weapon specific specialist who usually focuses on 1 main scheme at a time.

another vote for battle race, the Cadillac of worms schemes

It is both a race scheme and a puzzle scheme simultaneously, with a diverse map pool.  If not for battle race I don’t think I would have gotten so hooked on worms at the beginning.

I wish someone like Plutonic or Legion would make small Time Trial Battle Race maps possible in their map generators, i'd enjoy that without weapons and a race to see who can complete random BR maps fastest, then i'd enjoy it :)

ive long contended that any hypothetical real time worms would enhance schemes like battle race the most and would turn a scheme like battlerace into a frantic rush to the end in the vein of a game like fall guys.
