Well if It looked like I'd make a return on my investment, sure id invest! Im a student so funds are low right now (donation still coming dont worry lad).
Im not dumb though, as nino said I know that WA isnt popular enough for people to be able to make any serious money from 3rd party sites. I doubt TUS has the necessary traffic to draw in interest from advertisers or sponsors, right now anyway.
BUT...
If TUS did manage to branch out to other games and gain a larger user base, there is a good chance there'd be enough traffic to interest advertisers. With an overhaul of the site on the way and a more professional layout, I dont see why this couldnt be a viable possibility. As to exactly which games (or things) TUS could draw more users from I dont know, however the potential do do it is here. If WA is released on Steam (Team17 actually check their forums now, we did already try and present a case to them but there was only 3 people proposing the idea), this would help greatly and be a good start. You shouldnt give up before you've even tried, that doesnt achieve anything. Even you try and fail, the attempt at least is worth the effort.
On a side note, Team17 are so annoyed by WA. Its that 10 year old game that just wont go away with a couple of guys who keep updating it and making it better and better. WR was a flop and there was a ton of complaints about it over on
Steam and Team17 forums. I was banned from both forums for standing up for WA and all the mugs who dont realise just how great this game has become in comparison to all the other worms games, even one they JUST released that had been tested by WA players. They neglected all the feedback given to them by the testers and made a shitty game.
...not sure if that has much to do with what we're talking about, but my point is Team17 are not supportive of CS or WA as it hinders sales of their new worms games (cos they suck ass).
