Off Topic / Re: MAX SCHEME - FOR THE PEOPLE

First of all, the "part 2" file didn't work whereas "part 1" did, so that's what I watched.

Not a prize-winning match, fellas  :)  You offered to train him instead of calling him a noob, which was nice I suppose. NB, he was good with the aqua sheep. The only thing that struck me as interesting was the tactical mistake when he used a mole squadron; all he acheived was to release two hitherto isolated enemy worms.

And this quote from Max is worth repeating: "You gotta be willing to rape worms".

There's more sign of life on Mars than in this cup. It needs a kick up the backside.

Thanks for the long reply, Marko. You've reinforced three bad things I'd already read about: the company generally sides with clients in disputes, not freelancers; people from the Indian subcontinent are overabundant there, undercutting; and there are problems withdrawing money (but luckily I'm using paypal).

I'm offering proofreading and rewriting services for now. I'm finding that every job gets bid on by dozens of people and the people with ratings/reviews get almost all of them. Getting the first few ratings/reviews seems to be key.

The site is probably "good" overall but I suspect only the top 1% of freelancers and/or the ones who work full-time hours, will earn salary levels of money.

I'll check out that site you mention.

Thanks. You're one of the most obliging wormers here!

Does anyone here use the site freelancer.com, either as a freelancer or a client? I've joined it recently, and would be interested to hear other people's experiences. (Other sites offering similar services are upwork, guru, and fiverr, but the phuckers at upwork blocked my application.)

If Brazil lose 5-1 it would be an improvement!  :P

If Brazil win this one I will shave bald my hair, beard, mustache, eyebrow, everything.
That's brave for a scenario that's about 5-1 with the bookies  :)

Shocking, especially those first two  :o

I've probably said it before but I'll say it again: England ain't gonna win!

Looks good. I see it has in-game overlay, so presumably that means it will accompany the broadcast/stream automatically. But do other worms commentators have it?

I couldn't join the worms2d.info mumble server yesterday, and I thought it was because my version was out of date, but when I updated I'm still getting this message: "Server connection failed: Connection refused." I've googled it and other people have this problem and seemingly can't solve it!

Can YOU still connect? Do you have any suggestions for me? Should I/we use another program?

Annoying that this is happening just after CWT streaming has resumed...

I have been smitten several times recently by bad grammar. I can't remember who smote me first, but he was probably a rapist.

General discussion / Re: How much longer will you play?
« on: October 05, 2017, 08:27 AM »
The upside of Worms's customisability is that we have a hundred different games to play, the downside is that the community is therefore divided, creating the strange situation where two guys could bump into each other in a supermarket, discover to their excitement that they both play WA, but then realise they don't have any schemes in common.

I'm lucky I'm an inter player because I can generally find at least one opponent online. Rope/shoppa kidz will have the same experience.

I do miss the pot  :(
Yeah I have a bit of nostalgia for it as well.

One popular pot option that's disappeared down the memory hole is super rope. There was an active French community on WormNet2 who always played with super rope + crate shower + blood effects, and I wonder if the absence of super rope has kept the French away from WA.
