A great quality sound you've got going on. This happy uplifting liquid thing has little power over me though... guess my brain is just wired for irony. ;D

something to believe in

I'm reasonably confident that the universe exists. We should indeed shape it more to our liking.

The 'D' word he says rhymes with the 3rd word he said, so I heard: "friend in need is the friend indeed".

The sound of the final D (indeed) is kinda lost because he turns his head away from the microphone or something.

It's far away from how we pronounce 'dick' here in NZ, but someone from Australia in particular might hear "friend in nit is the friend in dick".

One of the most annoying bands ever. I can only stand them as a backing band, eg. on this:

I can't be the only one who has Worms dreams, surely! I had another WA one today despite not playing for a long time. The 1st map was a sort of castle and garden with tunnels. I made some dumb moves including wasting an HHG. The 2nd map was a similar castle but now I was doing fly shopper roping moves on it.

I had a dream about a collaborative effort to make a shopper map, which had things like a tree and a leafy vine and some text saying something about a worms swimming pool. It seemed like I started it while I was sitting outside a school building. The map had an open top. There was lots of arguing about where to put things and whether some text was taking up too much room and would get in the way. I was struggling to copy and paste a cross-shaped object because it blurred in with one of the trees a bit. I didn't seem to remember that shopper existed as a scheme until we were actually playing a game on the map. One weapon used was similar to a banana bomb, but the bananas were replaced with red circles that bounced even higher.

Anyone who votes 75% or less doesn't even believe xkcd's Earth Temperature Timeline I suppose.

Humanity will be okay in 2050 I think. 2100 could be a worry.

Gotta agree with skunk on the Bitcoin thing. I feel stupid for not getting into that straight after I mined a little Dogecoin in early 2014. 10 months ago I finally stopped procrastinating and exchanged half my Dogecoin for Bitcoin, and it already increased like 6× since. Of course, Dogecoin is up because of the Reddit hype but it won't stay high. Bitcoin will... at least until it gets replaced with another crypto or something more widely adopted.

I feel like a bit of a rebel not having any tattoos also. Once upon a time I imagined getting a tattoo of Bloopy (my character, not this picture but a more badass one drawn by someone else). Now I don't like that idea and would prefer more of a joke tattoo, probably one of Gary Sinise from CSI: New York. :D

I don't hate tattoos but I think too many looks bad. On the arms or lower legs is ok, but tattoos on the torso, thighs, neck and face etc. seems like too much. It's like a misdirection or fake news to distract you from real nature, comparable to a ricer car or wearing too much make-up.

« on: December 27, 2020, 06:34 AM »
There's numerous scientists around the world who have analyzed the virus and shown clear evidence of insertions, deletions, and manipulation of the DNA. According to them there's no way it is naturally-occurring. I don't exactly have links bookmarked for ease of sharing but it's out there if you care to look.

When I cared to look, I found this link, which says:
Quote
"Two features of the virus, the mutations in the RBD portion of the spike protein and its distinct backbone, rules out laboratory manipulation as a potential origin for SARS-CoV-2."

Note the reported 96% similarity of the RaTG13 coronavirus that infects bats in the above link may be way too high:
https://www.news-medical.net/news/20200910/Scientists-claim-serious-data-discrepancies-in-RaTG13-sequence.aspx

Regardless, as the first link says, a 4% difference would've represented 20-50 years of separate evolution anyway. Not insertions and deletions (they would be noticed). Science just isn't that advanced yet. Nature is a million times more efficient. With all the virus mutations happening out there in the real world among sick animals and sick people, it's like Earth is a quantum supercomputer trying all possibilities while the scientists are still running DOS 3.3.

The link is that people who choose not to take the vaccine may lose some freedoms. Eg. not being allowed on flights or public transport, or losing their jobs, especially if they work in the health sector or with the elderly. Which is just common sense really considering the number of people dropping dead daily.
