I am against the vaccine. I remember the swine flu outbreak, everyone were going insane. I was sitting comfortably in my chair watching on my nice TV, a large queue of desperate people waiting for the vaccine. Later on it showed that these people experience nasty side effects, it damaged them pretty bad, even for life. So the guy in the comfortable chair was like ''Better them not me, because I am not falling for this shit''.

I already said you wouldn't be first in line for the COVID-19 vaccine anyway, and such recent mistakes aren't forgotten quickly. Just because most of us say we would take the vaccine, doesn't mean we're saying that we'll be the first to rush out and take something that hasn't been tested properly! There's nothing wrong with being cautious, especially if the health system in one's country is questionable. But there'll be a point when some of the vaccines are known to be safe and effective and only conspiracy theorists are scared of them.

Plus you will have to take the vaccine yearly.

I highly doubt it. Early indications suggest that COVID-19 doesn't mutate nearly as fast as the yearly flu strains. Also, some COVID-19 vaccines may help protect against not only other strains, but other coronaviruses including the common cold as well. Just as some people with better immunity against colds can be less susceptible to COVID-19.

A better comparison could be measles. The measles vaccine keeps on working. Anti-vaxxers are at least partly to blame for 70+ kids dying in the Samoan outbreak last year.

Regarding your links, what you want to look up is the 'excess mortality' rate, ie. the number of deaths from all causes above what's considered 'normal':
https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6942e2.htm
Quote
Overall, an estimated 299,028 excess deaths occurred from late January through October 3, 2020, with 198,081 (66%) excess deaths attributed to COVID-19. The largest percentage increases were seen among adults aged 25–44 years and among Hispanic or Latino persons.

If too many deaths were being attributed to COVID-19, you'd expect the 2nd number to be bigger than the first.

Also, wearing a mask f@#!ing sucks. I have bad allergies and need to wipe my nose all the time. Luckily for me my country takes COVID-19 very seriously and eradicates it when it appears. Right now we have more freedom here than almost any other country and our economy is better off overall than it would be if we didn't have lockdowns in the past.

Seat belts are a decent analogy but usually only for one's own safety. Getting vaccinated is for the safety of everyone else around you too. So an even better analogy would be mandatory vehicle inspection. Choosing not to be vaccinated for COVID-19 is like someone choosing to drive an unroadworthy truck and then causing a deadly highway pileup. A few countries already had 1 in 1000 people die and the pandemic is still going on. What figure do the deaths have to reach to be above 'minuscule'?

The lethalness of this vaccine is minuscule
nefarious shot of death.

Nice self-contradiction.

When it's released it'll be some of the most vulnerable people who get it first. If you're young and healthy there'll probably be a lot more data on it by the time you get it.

I've had to start taking an immunosuppressant this year due to my severe allergies. Supposedly this can mean I need a double dose of some vaccines, so that's something I have to look into. I'll definitely get it when I can.

I dreamt I was staying at someone's large and modern house, and the room I was allocated had a bunch of toys and books and things. A military agent of some kind turned up to visit me in the morning, which I was expecting. He wanted to talk top secret stuff outside, but I was still finishing eating my cereal so I said I'd be out in a minute. When I got outside, things turned into a game of 3D Worms. Grenades and dynamite were being thrown around. I walked my worm up a narrow castle-ish wall which had appeared around the front yard of the house, and fired a weapon I thought was a grenade launcher down at either the agent or the owner of the house, although it seemed more like a bazooka. Someone else triggered a weapon that caused the wall my worm was standing on to collapse.

Today marks 20 years of existence for the project, so here's a complete remake of the very first song Hungry Harvey. This is the first track completed towards my second album, which may take me a decade just like the last one...

I can't remember if I used any regular spoons on the track, but there's a knife and a spatula and maybe something devious involving a spaghetti spoon...

I've now put together a little video to go with my doomy Worms tune, including some footage from Worms 4: Mayhem. I figured it'd be the ideal game to use and I wasn't wrong as some of the worms' facial expressions turned out perfectly hilarious (more so than the meatspace worms anyway :D):

I've been following Mr. Toxic since he first popped up online 7 years ago. He just dropped another album less than a year after the last one. Kinda feel a bit sorry for him as he doesn't seem to have gained many listeners over time. I haven't gotten sick of his voice yet. I guess this song gets bonus points for at least mentioning worms (but not Worms ;)):

Not all of his stuff sounds like that. I dig this one, entertaining stuff:

So if you do not take vaccine, take your meds, wash your hands, you are not welcome in our society.

There's an intelligent middle ground that has really gone over your head it seems. Yes, meds and vaccines can be a total rip-off as big pharma/corporations make as much money as possible and don't really care about people's health at all. But there's also thousands of scientists working tirelessly just to save our asses. And all kind of unnecessary virus outbreaks in Western society have risked the lives of babies yet to be vaccinated and unlucky people with faulty immune systems, simply because of clueless people spreading misinformation and scaremongering about vaccines.

I know no one with corona, or anyone that knows anyone that have/had it.

I know that influenza kills a lot more or aligned with corona death numbers.

But sure, be always careful with the flu aka corona propaganda driven disease.

Best case scenario would be if COVID-19 only kills about the same. So if we allow both viruses, deaths double. Yay?

Latest headline: Scientists warn of potential wave of COVID-linked brain damage. I guess humans get dumber from here!

There was another Worms question on the show. They're repeating episodes from 2018 here. I didn't quite overhear the whole question, but it asked something like: what video game series features weapons called [something something] and inflatable scouser?

I primarily use Paint.net now too. I'm not sure I'd call it a Photoshop clone. It's much more lightweight and easier for n00bs, though still powerful if you get plugins.

Old Skype. Everything else were dead at the time i discovered Internet (2006).

Microsoft didn't shut down the MSN/Windows Live servers until early 2015. I still connected with Trillian until then.
