I normally report each round individually, but MaStEr left before I remembered to tell them that they needed to report round 2. This should be okay though. But if it's an issue, perhaps MonkeyIsland could split it into 3 reports.

Rafal quit from this game quite early on, but I started the game with him in good faith and I was on the path toward winning when he quit.

This is incorrectly reported... I use "2 wins" just to get alternating turn order for fairness, treating the rounds as individual matches for the sake of reporting. But even if this were treated as a Bo3 match for the sake of reporting, it should've then been 3 replays, not 2.

It's fixed.

GonZaLO unfortunately got disconnected, and I felt that given that 1) very much game time had passed by that time, 2) I had a very high chance of winning if the game had continued, and 3) it was his internet that disconnected while mine stayed up, I felt it was suitable to be treated as a win for me.

Korydex asked me to post the BRSolver solution to this, after he'd finished the map in 58:02.66 using antisink + LDET + teleport/rope/jetpack.

Leagues General / Re: Start a new TRL - Team17 islands only?

Well, I would be excited to do this. Even before the new year, if enough people want it.
I would be fine with all islands, but also an even mixture of cave and island would be fun too.

Thanks! And no, you get no credit for drowned targets. If you did, I could have kept going until I was completely exhausted... as it was, I was pretty fatigued at the end.
I would list the most important strategies being
Also, please don't be scared off from submitting. It can still be a battle for 3rd place if you don't want to go heavy on the endurance.
I would list the most important strategies being
- Don't use the initial apex of the map as your home; use the car's fender. Requires some setup. (This could probably be improved further from what I did, requiring more elaborate setup. In particular, a setup that gives you a tinier speck to stand on would allow being less nerve-wracked about avoiding shooting yourself in the foot.)
- When shooting at targets on land, aim as high as you can, and if you miss, tap downward as minimally as you can (ideally 1/50 second) until you hit it. In the long run, this lets you keep going longer, because you won't be destroying as much land below the targets, which eventually results in drowning targets.
- If you remember where the target will be next, hit the spacebar before it appears, to compensate for the delay of the cocking of the shotgun.

I was able to get 1:09:43 back in 2004, but is that submittable? This time I only got up to 57:47.
This training stage benefits from strategy, so perhaps the replays should have been hidden. I'm surprised Mablak didn't use this strategy; he'd probably go way past 1 hour if he did. I posted my 1:09:43 run back in 2004, but I guess nobody watched it?
Edit: Oh! Mablak did use the strategy. It's just that he waited until 32 seconds in to do it. (And Free used the main part of the strategy, too, starting at 22 seconds.)
Edit 2: I am glad the replays aren't hidden. It's more fun this way.

Wormkit Modules / Re: wkropeshot
October 19, 2021, 07:35 PMQuote from: nizikawa on September 25, 2021, 10:34 AMI don't understand this reaction at all. It seems like quite an innocent option to me, and furthermore with the Ninja Rope power set to 1-4 stars the game already shows the number of remaining shots at the top of the screen every time the rope is attached. It also already shows the amount of remaining Ninja Rope ammo in the weapon panel.
As far as I'm concerned, remembering the number of rope shots is essential roping skill. Such module would degrade the competitive spirit of the game and discourage new players from learning essential game skills. Besides, anyone can keep track of rope shots in memory or write them on paper, so there is in point in automating this task.
With recent drama in mind, I refuse to implement it.
Under which circumstances and in which schemes would you consider counting the number of rope shots to be "an essential game skill"? Isn't it currently a completely irrelevant "skill" to any existing schemes?
This seems like an overreaction that is provoked by the community's justified negative response to wkWormOrder.
Quote from: nizikawa on September 25, 2021, 10:34 AMIt's a really easy change to make and I see no reason not to do it. I'd be happy to add it as a scheme option.
If there is a significant need for such functionality - request it from Deadcode to be added as a scheme option in future update.
