Cups and Tournaments General / Classic league is not classic!
« on: November 06, 2011, 01:23 AM »
Ahh attention grabbing headlines.. gotta love 'em

Not a complaint here at all before I get started, but just something I wanted to open for discussion :)

I was thinking the other day while playing classic league that (to me at least) the inclusion of Hysteria in there was an odd choice when older and more 'classic' if you like schemes like Boomrace, WFW are not included.

Again not a complaint and this is in no way asking for things to change, I simply like discussion :)

But to me Hysteria is not really a classic scheme at all and by (at least my standards) is not even that old of a scheme. Boomrace is nowhere near as popular as Hysteria and I'd be the 1st to admit that.. but it certainly is more 'classic' imo

Why would you say that is? I agree 100% with all the other schemes in the classic league.

Discuss  :D

Sup peeps, just recovering from a pretty crazy Halloween weekend and thought it would be cool to see what you guys got up to as well.

Every year (as I am a music promoter) I run a Halloween Heavy Metal show in my home town that includes circus performances (fire mainly) and various other things.

Here's a few pics of the night I dressed as Thriller style Michael Jackson this year and also a video of me dancing with some friends (I am not a dancer btw, this was just a bit of fun.. so please be gentle on my lack of skills xD)

I was thinking maybe not to upload this next picture.. but f@#! it xD

Happy Halloween fellow TUS'ers!

Nice 1 Husky!

Never was much of a Castlevania fan, but I think this map will get enough play to make up for it. May choose it for a BR challenge in a few weeks :)

sK / sK Tryouts - How to join The Serious Kickers!
« on: September 03, 2011, 09:55 PM »
Below is a description on the tryout procedure for sK.

To join sK you must have the following

*4 YES votes from members
* 1 YES vote from a Co-leader/Couilleader (SmokaZ, Thor or JayX)
* Making a total of 5 YES votes

Tryouts will take place on a variety of schemes, you will need to show proficiency when using the Ninja Rope as well as knowledge in the use of the varying weapons in the world of Worms Armageddon.

If you receive a NO vote from any member your tryout period may be extended while we investigate the reasons for that member saying NO.

One tip I will give you is to be patient! these tryouts can take time, the reason for this is so we can be sure you are the right person and have the right attitude to be a Serious Kicker.
Skills are important yes, but what truly makes sK great is the friendships between our members... sK is like a family.

Any and all sK members can vote for you, simply say hey to any sK member you see in AG and ask if they have time to have a game with you.

Remember, sK is a fun place to be, it is not a "cool tag" to show off with in games. In every game our members play they represent us all, skilled, fun, friendly people are all essential parts of what makes an sK member.
Anybody found to be misrepresenting us will be removed without hesitation.

So.. be honest, do you have what it takes to be sK ?.. well, lets find out ;)

Post a new topic in the sK section of the TUS forum, tell us about yourself and request a tryout

sK / sK Clan History
« on: September 03, 2011, 09:53 PM »
After the demise of the SADO clan, a group of French wormers joined forces in 2006, bringing style and destruction to wormnet with ninja ropes and bazookas as their weapons of choice.

In 2007, the serious Kickers migrated to Worms Armageddon and became an international community, which proved to be a great move for the clan. Many great players have joined and promise to continue the success of the clan for a long time to come.

The current members of sK are crazy and fun, loving nothing more than a party on schemes ranging from wxw to elite and everything in between. The scheme preferences of our members are outlined in the members section of our website here http://serious.kickers.free.fr/.

We hope to see you on AG some time.

Hey guys, just watched NinjaCamel's video with his Diablo (very sweet btw dude!) and listened to DJ-M4R1O's track he uploaded and I thought I'd make a thread of the skills we have at home, not the WA related ones we all share but the things that make us unique.

Well I'm a drummer, and can post some things about my band if people are interested but for now here's just a vid of me having a little play a few years ago.

Post up links, vids etc to your work  :)

Boomrace Masters is a community of Boomrace Enthusiasts,

To join us you just need love and knowledge of the technique, no.. ART! that is explosive worm propulsion! (that's make boomboom to make worm move to all you simple minded folks out there :P)

Introduce yourselves here, arrange some games and keep up to date on any and all Boomrace related cups / leagues etc.

Have fun and let there be Boomtimes! :D

TUS Discussion / People and inactivity in cups/leagues etc
« on: July 07, 2011, 11:11 PM »
Hey guys, just wondering if there is anything in place to help members here when it comes to activity in cups etc.

I am aware I am new here so this really is a question and not pointing fingers at anybody as I know (at least in my BR Cup atm) that some members there have not played games yet but certainly intend to do so as soon as they can and I have no issue with that at all.

But what I am wondering is, what stops people signing up to cups etc and then simply not playing them? It makes it very difficult to progress a cup or whatever when you (for example) have 50 players and 5 of them are just not coming to TUS or AG to check and play their games.

Perhaps some motivation on TUS's part to ensure these people play their games would help. For example if you sign up to a cup and do not contact the mod to say "I cant play because of random reason X,Y or Z and I'm sorry" and simply sign up and bail on the cup that you should not be able to sign up for cups again for a month or so if you are a repeat offender, or at least that they get a note added to their account saying "this person has signed up for cups and not finished (3) in a row. or something so that Mods can make an informed decision on who to allow into their cup... like an Ebay "feedback" type system based on peoples ability to be reliable and active.

I know that people can be replaced in cups as long as they have not played a game yet.. but what if they have? is the cup then broken?

As a new member I understand it takes time to get how everything works here, but I have always thought hey... what's the harm in asking? :)

Peace
