Thanks Wally, nah your BRs are shweet ;O

Hm, anyone care to suggest some Tower RRs that should belong in this pack?

I don't include faulty mapmakers in my pack Walrus... consider all your maps removed.

Nah, thanks for the heads up ;O

Okay thanks MI. Are the crate probabilities displayed on the right side of the page actually correct? I see that in in Explosive's Kaos tournament version the values he lists are different from the ones that show up.

Guys we should really discuss which scheme we should be using, I don't think the wowwow one is very good for competition. I personally like the Kaos World Cup scheme, pretty low chances for invis and double damage. It was the scheme developed by DreamTrance's now-dead Kaos league over 4 or so seasons, should at least be an improvement. I just uploaded it, do schemes take a while to show up?

I can reliably notch most shots in about 3 seconds. Just saying. Reducing turn time to get rid of notching really won't help unless you make it 1 second, but then it would be Hysteria with less weapons and no moving about. :)

No reduction can get rid of notching, but the lower it is, the less likely we'll be able to land on the exact angle, there will be more cases of being 1-2 notches off at least.

I've thought about the whole dividing the map thing before, it would help to get rid of closeness rules, and I guess people can choose how wide they want to make that gap. And hell, if the gap is small, and people want to risk getting fairly close, might as well let 'em.

And yeh, why don't we go ahead and try anti-lock power? I don't see any downsides. Auto-reaim too I suppose, though I think circular aiming might be a bit weird to adjust to.

I think turn time could probably be 5 seconds, I imagine that's about as low as we can go without making it like hysteria.

inf sg, inf tele, inf torch, no girders
shorter turn time (10-12 sec) and no hot-seat time in league games

This is a good suggestion, girders cause drama half the time I use 'em, and shotgun is always helpful for clearing land. Also, to reduce the effectiveness of notching, shorter turn time is the best method. It wouldn't eliminate it, but it would make it much more prone to error, I'd probably go even lower than 10 secs though.

Yeah I like the term girder guy. It's kind of hard to know when you'll get the chance to use a worm for that purpose, but it really is good to have one worm hidden away if it can have a large girder range.

Kaos you filthy vermin. It hasn't had a chance yet!

Ah hey man, yeah of course. Also got some of your maps ;O

It'll be a while until the thing is fully uploaded, MI is taking great pains to categorize everything (I think it's mostly the fact that he's associating the correct map authors where he can).

Should I just get advanced now? Doubt I'm gonna hear back from him at this point.

The map pack I'm uploading has 6200 maps thus far, and includes some of the more important BIT maps of the past 14 years, which WMDB lacks. And it's under 250 MB. It is intended to be a starter pack, but I also want it to have literally every important .BIT map out there, since they take up hardly any space.

Speaking of which, anyone who has obscure .BITs, give 'em to me! Although, I'm guessing I have the majority of them already, at least for RR.
