I know people have suggested this before but some visible trophy for the clans & players holding ranking 1-3 currently might give a little boost in the activity. In clanbase.com (CS 1.6) there was golden, silver and bronze ladder icons next to clan's name and they were quite desired: "Clan " For the latest playoffs winners there could be a golden cup like this "Clan ". Clan/player would hold that trophy till the end of next season.

Allowing two clans per player is one way. It could work with this kind of rules
- You are not allowed to play against your other clan or a clan you have been in during the season. This applies to playoffs also.
- A clan must always have at least two players eligible to play against any other clan. (Example: Clan1(A,B,C,D), Clan2(A,B,E,F), Clan3(C,D,E,F)). A clan must meet this requirement when the playoffs start or the clan is replaced by other clan.

Count me in.

It's up to MI.

For now we could have a link on TUS frontpage (user menu?) or even better, the matchmaker website embedded into TUS frontpage as a small window. People could then see via TUS sites how many players are searching and use the matchmaker as well.

1v1+2v2+clanners means more games overall than 1v1+clanners. If more 2v2 singles games is played than before with the help of this tool, then it has got the job done.

I don't think we really need that for clanners or 1v1. You can already set snooper to play a sound when somebody writes "clanner" on AG. Besides, it would mean less action on AG.

For 2v2 singles, on the other hand, this tool is useful because it makes teams out of single players so you don't need a partner to play 2v2.

Thanks to Tomi we have now a tool for searching TUS/TEL/Free 2vs2 games (singles league):

1. Log in with your TUS account
2. - Select league(s)
    - Enter your friend's nick or let matchmaker find you a partner. The matchmaker will make balanced teams using
      TUS points, except if you set a partner.*       
3. After a match is found, meet the other players on AG and start playing. You can't search a new match for 10 mins.

The website shows how many players are searching currently. You will get notified when a match is found so you can leave it searching on the background.

All the matches are saved on the website, you can see them under Recent games tab.

If we notice some players refuse to play their matches frequently, they will be banned from using the matchmaker.

* There can be three different kinds of matches:
- Two lone players vs two lone players (balanced teams based on TUS/TEL/Free points)
- Two partners vs two lone players (not balanced)
- Two partners vs two partners (not balanced)

We've already played some TUS/TEL games using the matchmaker. Hopefully more people will start to use it!

It was a tiebreak round between me, BoolC and Peja. I beat Peja, BoolC beat me but he and Peja didn't play their match. Husk decided to give me the spot, I don't know by which rules.

This was just a tiebreak so we shouldn't be rewarded with points, right?

I thought Finland is the most paternalistic society when it comes to alcohol/cigarette policy. Apparently not..

In pubs you may have to pay 6-7 euros  for a basic lager (0,5l), 8-10 euros for a drink. Beer is much cheaper in shops so people drink at home and go only to night club drunk. Pubs can't even offer "happy hour" prices anymore. Night clubs close at 4 AM but there has been debate about closing them earlier.

Shops stop selling beer at 9 PM and don't sell until 9 AM. All drinks with more than 4,7% alcohol is sold in separate stores owned by the state (monopoly). Now there has been debate about selling only 3,5% beer in shops. Cigarettes cost ~6 euros and are hidden under cashdecks so you have to know which cigarette you want.

Whenever government needs money, they raise alcohol/cigarette taxes because it's easy to justify as alcohol policy. Now we see people bringing their beer from Estonia with vans... Thanks to EU, government can't do much although they try. You can bring alcohol only for your "own use" and some other silly restrictions.
