#2 - Dario choose to forward his $10 from last week to this week making this weeks prize $20.

MAKE SURE TO READ THE RULES OF THE SCHEME IN THE TOURNAMENT DESCRIPTION OR DOWN BELOW - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!

Scheme rules:

WA version 3.8 or higher is required

  • Each round you can choose only one type of special/team weapon to use:  pigeons (x2), sheep launcher (x1), aqua-sheep (x1), holy hand grenade (x1), flamethrower (x1), cows (x2) or old woman (x1). Moles do not count as special weapon. In different rounds you can use different special weapons. If in one round you use more than one type of special weapon, you lose the round. For example, you can use 2 cows on round 1 and 2 pigeons on round two, but you cannot use cows and pigeons on round 1.
  • The tournament will take place on May, Saturday 15th, 16:00GMT and all games should be played that same day.
  • Komito will be streaming some of the matches, players cannot refuse to have their game streamed.
  • There will be a $20 for the winner. Will be paid via PayPal only, if you cannot accept PayPal or are too young to receive the money, you can choose to donate it elsewhere.

No description for this Tournament, but i've approved it anyway, maybe they have some friends ready to play. No harm done.

Dario has spent some time creating and testing a modified Intermediate scheme intended for a rapid gameplay style with various players over the past few weeks.

The growing success of the ONL Discord seeing people organizing games and activity booming, along with seeing a recent surge in activity for TUS has made me wonder about having an official TUS Discord server ran by the TUS staff.

Mainly it would be there for members of TUS to chat about TUS and organize matches, but it could also relay news/results/upcoming important matches like the finals of any cup/tournament/playoffs.

Members of the server can opt to have an @TUS tag so you can notify everyone with the tag you are currently searching for a match. You could even have a tag specifically for singles and one for clanners.

Channels could be made for members of cups/playoffs in order to organize their games efficiently.

I reckon it could be a great step forward for TUS, does anyone else think this would be a good idea?

General discussion / Influential Wormer derived

Whether you have been around longer than me or not is not what I asked, way to show your intelligence there Mr. Alias.

My point is the exact statement I made.

Did you read what I said carefully? I said "I only played him once after that era", i've saw him play, and played against him multiple times before that, and all I saw him do was notch 4s full power shots, hit 3s grenades and 4s rollers. He was probably the most deadly league player of his era, but honestly piss easy to beat by todays standards.

GiT is one of the oldest clans there ever was in WA, they formed in 1999 didn't they(can't remember exactly which month)? It was a guy called Eldarworm from EiF who got me interested in BnG, so if what you say is true, then you must be talking about W2 players, because even through all my years i've rarely came across people i'd consider very accurate with trick shots, especially using LG. GiT inspired me to master using LG, and i'd personally consider them the best of that era.

So, 4-5 months ago I started collecting keyboards for a few reasons:

  • Genuinely fascinated by them.
  • They look nice and feel nice to type on.
  • I want to do reviews for Worms Armageddon and test how each keyboard performs at a few different schemes, with and without the use of wkRemapKeys as well.

A few people wanted to see a pic with them all so here is a picture:

Took away list of keyboards so people can guess, great idea Ryan.  :P

The majority of them are actually really good for roping, but some of them are too sensitive for individual notch movements, these are among some of the things that will be covered when I get round to doing reviews on YouTube.

WormNET has been down for hours, no news about it anywhere, not surprising giving we all know how little Team17 cares about WA these days...

Would be nice to have a message of some sort from someone telling us what's going on, is this planned maintenance or something broke?

I never understood why the rules don't dictate you use ms.

In reality, ZeniC won this with 38.52, Sbaffo got 38.56, in the 1st match which is judged as a draw.

It's literally wrong for the player who achieved the fastest time, not to receive the win.

I think this was discussed before and people said something like it makes it more exciting to have draws, if you ask me wouldn't you feel absolutely robbed if you actually won, but lost lol?

The aim here is to sponsor and organize professional level Tournaments for Darts.

The plan is to host 1 each month, if it becomes popular enough, the prize will be larger.

Each Tournament will be announced roughly 1 month in advance so that players know which maps will be used and can practise as much as they want on those specific maps.

It is my belief that being able to practise in advance will raise the skill level and make for more interesting games.

Hope to see you next month!

Maps n stuff / Early Darts maps/rolls fixed.
October 19, 2020, 11:12 AM
Older Darts maps had a major issue - Rolls, this is something we took into account when designing new maps, however most of the earliest maps still have this problem.

What is a roll?

This is what happens when your worm is travelling with enough speed that when touching down on top of a spike(The term used for the walls between target points), physics completely takes over and your worm is hurled forwards, causing your worm to drill, roll or skip over/past multiple scores due to poor map design.

An example of a roll:

In the example above, did you notice the worms first touch was on the spike between 12/9? However instead of landing on the spike itself, or falling into 9, the worm drills over the 2nd spike and ends up in 6.

This is important, as it is not unusual for a competitive game to be decided by the score of 1 worm, every point counts! To be robbed of victory due to poor map design instead of a players own competency can be rather frustrating.  :'(

After fixing the map, this is what happens when you drill the top of a spike:

Why all the fuss?

Darts was at one point quite a popular and active scheme, it is an official TUS Free League scheme, was very successful in TRL, as well as being used in official TUS Challenges and Tournaments, which count towards the official TUS standings.

The dS community also run various recorded competitive events both single player and co-op in the spirit of fair competition.

With that in mind, we want this scheme to be fair, balanced and for competitive games to be based on skill not luck.

Although it took us a while to figure out how to efficiently design Darts maps, we have the knowledge and experience now to go back and fix earlier map design issues.

What has been altered to fix the maps?

  • Replacing the target board entirely as the design made landing accurately too difficult and/or random.
  • Changing the points system to be spread more evenly, eg. Changing highest to lowest from 50-25-10-5-3-2-1 to 50-30-35-20-15-10.
  • Moving the target board closer to the start platform due to a sufficient fix for the target board itself making it impossible to reach all the points on the target board.
  • Enlarging the size of the target board completely to increase the distance between spikes, meaning that worms will now have enough distance when rolling on a spike to prevent them completely rolling past entire sections.
  • Raising the height of each spike individually going diagonally upwards in the direction the worm will fly towards the target board so that worms which roll will now hit the wall of the next spike and fall inside instead of rolling over it completely.

These fixes prevent rolls which rewards players for accuracy and consistency, which in turn makes the scheme completely skill based as far as our competence as a player goes.

The following maps have been fixed:

[eNFoRcER] Darts
[Hurz] Darts for Hurz (Edit)
[Komito] Angels of Death
[Komito] Graffiti
[Komito] Hands of Fire
[Komito] Scorpus Rainbow Remix
[Komito] Son of Sunshine

[Komito] Twilight Twin
[Scorpus] DartsMania-Made By Scorpus
[spleen17] Seinfeld
[tita, Hurz] Weedcat Darts
[tita] Darts Bands
[tita] Darts No Name
[tita] Darts On Fire
[Worm_gamer, Xrayez] Garfield Darts
[xUCxKiller] First_Dart

I have personally tested each of these newly edited maps and haven't found any issues yet, however want to make sure they completely eliminate issues before replacing the existing versions on TUS as it is entirely possible I may have missed something simple, so give it about a month leaving plenty of time to test and potentially find any further issues.

It may also turn out that the original authors don't appreciate their maps being "fixed", however I hope the original authors can understand why these adjustments have been made.

Thanks for your time!

dS Tours ! / dS Tours v5 S1 - Rules & Guidelines
October 07, 2020, 07:54 PM
Welcome to dS Tours v5 S1

dS Tours(dST for short) is a series of competitive Darts matches played with multiple players on multiple maps.

Points are awarded from 1st place to last place and then added to the official dS Tours Ladder Standings.

This is how you play:

  • Give your Tour its own name! Be creative, it can be silly, or serious, you decide!
  • Each Tour must have at least 3 players, up to 6 players can participate.
  • You must use the Darts scheme available here.
  • You can use any of the Darts maps available here.
  • You can now play 1v1 dS Tours
  • You can now play dS Team Tours(dSTT) - 2v2 / 2v2v2 / 3v3.
  • Give your Team its own name!
  • All Team Tours will be played with 4 maps.
  • For 2v2 / 3v3 Team Tours - Both teams agree on 1st map, then winner picks 2nd map, then other team picks 3rd and so on until the Tour is finished.
  • For 2v2v2 Team Tours - All teams agree on 1st map, winner picks 2nd map, 2nd place of 1st map picks 3rd map, 3rd place of 1st map picks 4th map.
  • If 1v1, 6 maps must be played, but you cannot play Monster Tours.
  • If 2 players play, 6 maps must be played, each player picking 3 maps each.
  • If 3 players play, 6 maps must be played, each player picking 2 maps each.
  • If 4 players play, 4 maps must be played, each player picking 1 map each.
  • If 5 players play, 4 maps must be played, 4 lowest ranking players in Ladder picking 1 map each.
  • If 6 players play, 3 maps must be played, 3 lowest ranking players in Ladder picking 1 map each.
  • Using the dS Map Picker for dS Tours is optional, unless everyone agrees to use it, it cannot be used.
  • Once an individual picks a map, they may not use this map again for their next 2 tours, other players may however pick that map if they wish.
  • The match point system differs depending on how many players are participating.
  • The ladder point system also differs depending on how many players participates in a Tour.
  • All point systems are explained later in this thread.
  • If you throw 3 bullseyes in a row you get 1 point added to your ladder standings, this is valid everytime.
  • If you play a Perfect Tour by winning all maps and getting full Tour points, you get 2 points added to your ladder standings.
  • If you throw a perfect game(8 bullseyes), you get 5 points added to your ladder standings, this is possible for every match you play.
  • Players have 8 Mulligans per Season and only 1 can be used per Tour, a Mulligan is where you can rethrow your worm for any reason.
  • Any 3xBull or Perfect Games scored by using a Mulligan will not be valid, however a Perfect Tour will still be valid.
  • Mulligans can only be used with the last worm to be used, you cannot decide to throw a specific worm at the end of a game.
  • If a player wishes to use a Mulligan they must announce it before their next turn starts.
  • Mulligans cannot be used in Sudden Death or Tiebreakers.
  • Players can play 4 Monster Tours per Season.
  • Monster Tours - x2 maps played per Tour, x2 points per map, x2 bonus points for 3xBull/PG/PT and also x2 points added to the Ladder, Everything is x2!
  • A Monster Tour will be counted and added as 1 normal Tour.
  • In any individual round where 1st place is tied, the sudden death rule must be followed until there is a clear winner for that round.
  • A tie for overall 1st place after the last game, all tied players must play a randomly selected map using the dS Map Picker and 1st/2nd/3rd/etc is decided over a single game with 3 worms per player.
  • The map used for the tiebreaker map cannot be one that has already been used.
  • In the even more unusual event of a tie during the tiebreaker match, the players must continue with sudden death rules.
  • The scorekeeper will post the results here, please report in the same order as each match was played.
  • Each dS Tour completed and reported will be added to the official dS Tours Ladder Standings.
  • dS Tours V5 seasons are 2 months long, with a limit of 50 Tours per player.
  • You must treat other players with respect, no mocking other players.
  • You are not allowed to say to a player to fail their turn or hope they miss 3xBull or lose etc.
  • You are not allowed to rethrow a worm which has accidentally used drill, missed the target, or turn ended due to a mistake being made.
  • If you are AFK one or more turns due to an emergency you may rethrow IF your opponents agree to let you.

dS Tours Playoffs:

  • Playoffs will be played with the top 4 ranked players at the end of each Season.
  • 1st Vs 4th / 2nd Vs 3rd / winner Vs winner / loser Vs loser.
  • All games will be played Best of 9.
