Bonus Level 9 was kinda sloppy. Updated it.

Quote from: nino on September 26, 2016, 10:55 PMI would say it's not worth it just for gaming, it's not worth it just for most common computer stuff. But if you run VM's, or edit large files and need to load and save them faster, or do something that requires you to stream a lot of data from the disc, it is worth it. For example, if you're into making music, you better believe it's worth it for working with mega-huge sample libraries. There are virtual pianos with so many round robins, velocity layers, and mic positions that loading them into RAM just becomes kind of silly. 2 striped SSD's is actually the recommended configuration by East West for using their instruments. But even for instruments that you don't stream from the disk, load times are still important if you're trying to audition different instruments for playing the same recorded loop of notes.
I know if one disc break all data is lost, but iam just asking about the performance, for the case one disc break, we would use backup.
Quote from: nino on September 25, 2016, 03:34 PMTo be honest i would never use raid 0 at all. Because if one SSD breaks, all the data is broken. Not sure about speed advantage, i guess it depends on the total bandwidth of the controller.
@Triad.
Do you think a RAID 0 with 4 SSD discs of 256GB will really run much faster than a RAID 0 with 2 SSD of 512GB?

Just thinking about upgrading ram to 2400, I will add 64gb more to make it 128gb in some time anyways.
Quote from: Rabbit on September 14, 2016, 01:27 AMAll those labels tell you is their efficiency levels at 20%, 50%, and 100% load.
Also what are the differences between the power supplys like bronze, modular, semi modular and all that stuff. Ive never understood what it means, I just know I have to have enough wattage.

I actually had all my prices set to pc case gear but it changed once I posted it here. The problem with using different shops is the shipping prices bring the price up too much for me that why I just stick with one shop.

Quote from: Sensei on September 13, 2016, 11:59 AMGet 4GB version of Sapphire if price difference is not high. I don't know about manufacturer of RAM so can't comment. It looks like a good entry level gaming build.
I'm gonna buy new pc soon. After deciding on a monitor, budget for rest of the configuration is around 600$-650$.
This is a list of components I had in mind:
+ CPU: INT Core i3 6098P
+ MOBO: MSI H110M PRO-D, LGA 1151, DDR4-2133, Military Class 4
What you think guys?

Level 9 (~$8700)
You're rich and want a no budget overkill PC that you probably gonna end up playing only WA on it? This is the everything included overkill build you're looking for.
I would rather claim Minecraft for that
Nice list tho!
Quote from: MarianRV on September 12, 2016, 03:13 PMThanks, edited.Quote from: Triad on September 12, 2016, 10:10 AM
Level 3 (~$470 - $540)
The console killer. You can run almost all latest games at 1080p medium-high settings with 40-60fps. If you will focus on gaming you can exclude HDD. If you wanna go cheaper but you want bigger space, you can excludeHDDSSD . But I suggest to not exclude SSD if you want a good gaming experience. Also I put better CPU and case than Level 2.
Quote from: XanKriegor on September 12, 2016, 11:02 AMYeah, it's still a thing for budget builds.
Hoho, Intel Pentium is still alive?)
