What "cleanly"? He already does:
notching
skipwalking
manipulating AI into doing dumb stuff
restarting missions multiple times just for extra weapons
, with each of these tricks having cheat-tier effects. That's not what I'd call clean or whatever. Remapping a few keys into comfortable positions would definitely be the smallest thing out of those ones mentioned.

Don't download random bullshit W:A installations/repacks/actualizers from the internet, unless you're ready for this sort of things happening all the time.

wkD3D9Wnd is a module made to make the game run in a window - exactly what are you experiencing; it's working as intended. As you might have guessed from its name, it only works with Direct3D 9 chosen.
It appears that whoever made said repack included wkD3D9Wnd into the "installation" but failed to configure it (or at least tell the user how does the included stuff works, or probably you just didn't understand him), so it was present in game's folder but never actually worked... until you enabled loading of WormKit modules AND set the renderer to Direct3D 9 (which I assume you did no more than two days ago), which matched its requirements.

To turn it off, open wkD3D9Wnd.ini and replace EnableModule=1 with EnableModule=0, or just remove wkD3D9Wnd.dll from game's folder. It does not affect hosting - "I tried to move out wkD3D9Wnd, but it made that I cant host." sounds like you did something wrong.

I had a similar problem with someone having wkPackets out of nowhere just a week ago.

First of all, make sure you're using the latest game version - http://worms2d.info/Updates_(Worms_Armageddon) / http://worms2d.info/files/WA_update-3.7.2.1_Installer.exe . What you say very much reminds me of certain old version problems.

Then make sure you set renderer to Direct3D 9, preferably the shader one. To get to those settings, launch W:A, then go to Main Menu -> Options (that one big button with question marks on it) -> Advanced (a black button at bottom-right corner, right above Exit), and from here check out the left column where it says Graphics. See the drop-down list and choose Direct3D 9 (shader). That's what should work the best on most systems.

As Rabbit said, you can try to turn off vertical synchronization options, located at the same place where renderer settings are. I don't know how much noticeable the effect would be, but you can safely check it out for yourself - if anything goes worse, just turn them on back.

Ytrojan, are you high again? Who said it won't work on Windows 10? W:A itself does that just fine - it's Project X that may or may not work here, which I believe is fixable by a single .dll.
(also http://steamcommunity.com/app/217200/discussions/0/810919691020013928/ - Windows 10 compatibility is the first thing mentioned)

heeeeey why does he keep coming back without even quitting
It seems that private message tabs either don't bother with recording quits (or just simple leaving from a channel?) or there's something wrong in them. If anything, that was on official WormNET server, with said person seen on #AG.

Also, judging by #AG GS is now the most popular snooper, gj

@goom
Yeah I think that happened to me once, that was a while ago though.

(just to have this recorded in the thread)
Quote from: StepSangus, that's normal by default on Steam installations. You need to run WA.exe /register as admin in command-line to register associations.

Last time I've heard of this problem I've suggested re-applying the latest W:A version patch needed - 3.6.31.0 for PX users and 3.7.2.1 for everyone else. If I'm not mistaken, they request admin rights when launching and correctly register associations during the process, which I believe is a more stable and noob-friendly solution. Then again, I'm not even sure if that worked...

And by the way, @Sensei why use WormKit.exe if there's a much more convenient WormKitDS that doesn't require a separate executable? http://worms2d.info/WormKitDS

Can't say much about WMD, but maybe those patches would help it a bit for a week or two

Quote from: Darothok on March 28, 2017, 02:15 AMIs this the main active place worms players actually frequent?

as well as various leagues and stuff

Quote from: Darothok on March 28, 2017, 02:15 AMI've done some googling and found a few sites that had worms communities on them but all are basically defunct due to inactivity.
http://steamcommunity.com/app/217200/discussions/0/522730700668956542/ "Currently active websites and community projects"
that's the most actual list I know

Quote from: Darothok on March 28, 2017, 02:15 AMi feel that that is either not the place people play or the community is fairly small.
It's not that W:A got a big community, it's that other worms games have even lesser (or non-existing) communities. We don't have thousands of players over here, but what we have is still enough to just come into #AG, host something and get a few players within a minute, unless you're playing a very specific scheme (like Drown Syndrome) or live in an unlucky time zone - sometimes the server is indeed a bit empty.

Also, in case noone joins your games, might check out this http://worms2d.info/Hosting_guide - since whatever you host is hosted on your computer, it must be connectable from outside by port 17011 - make sure no sort of a firewall blocks that.

Any chances you was hosting via WormNAT2 and its servers were down at that very moment? Just maybe.

Because the download link isn't visible enough. Maybe I'm just dumb but I haven't noticed it in the first post, nor in your signature. I highly doubt someone's going to check out all 7 pages here just to find it out.
