General discussion / Re: New CO-OP scheme Flood Rac...
Last post by Micro - July 08, 2025, 09:29 AMQuote from: FoxHound on July 06, 2025, 01:14 PMI just watched it. Looks very fun. It is more interactive and friendly with new players that want to rope better, also all players are usually close to each other, so it is different from regular BRR that one player is far ahead of the others. In this scheme this can happen, but if one fail everybody loses. This scheme makes you think and don't follow the arrows of the map, the mines can help a lot when on thin lines. Sometimes is better to use zook early and don't wait for the last second of the turn time, because the shortcut is way better on specific spots.
Yes, exactly. you got the point. as well with the zooking before the end of turn. mostly just because you have found the shortest or the most efficient way instead of going around it which could save the whole team a bunch of time before the flood gets you.

TUS Discussion / Re: Farewell, TUS singles
Last post by Korydex - July 08, 2025, 05:51 AMEarly 2010s were good times for the league indeed. But as I recall around 2013 "tus ne1" started failing already. And asking specific player for a match is basically cheating
Maybe it would be nice to have discord server for TUS league (mention feature is nice and helps if you are afk). If Dario didnt create a server for ONL some years ago I doubt it would even survive

TUS Discussion / Farewell, TUS singles
Last post by Rocket - July 07, 2025, 09:42 PMA short post full of kind words, good memories and some updates on my activity here.
First and foremost, thanks to all players on TUS who used to be my rivals in TUS single league in 2010-2025. You gave me plenty of happy and intense hours of gameplay, a real desire to improve, to grind, to become a tech-savvy lad, let alone bringing my language skills to comletely another level. And I found some true friends here. That's huge, guys.
Back in 2010 I could only imagine how good a player should be to win a big cup visible in one's league profile. A beautiful shiny thing I always desired. It's been 15 years, and I have 2 cups of the same size in my profile (Season 32 and 35), both silver, both won in grand finals vs blitzed, the man the machine the legend
I'm grateful for the opportunity to get these in 2025. To me it's important to see that I haven't given up in a course of years and finally got what I wanted. Thanks to all of you and our great MonkeyIsland ofc! You've earned a standing ovation, big TUS dad!
However, a bitter understanding of these trophies being won in an extremely low activity era making me a bit... dissappointed. It's not that I'm not happy for the results shown, but I'd rather had my skills tested in greater competitions of the past. All we have now is a great TUS website full of games, maps, schemes, programmes and a legendary forum, some league updates coming on the way, and literally blitz alone playing the league. I have enormous respect for the guy, but my interest for TUS singles can't be kept up by playing vs him time after time, day after day. It's pretty boring and well far from being exciting. And excitement is the key thing we came here for one day. Excitement brought us here, made us friends, made this community strong. But it's not here anymore, not for me at least.
On the other hand, there is a good thing to mention. For some wild reason clanners still exist (!) and they are still exciting, even though permanently played between 2-4 clans and ever the same players. The magic of cooperation, team chatting and voicing hasn't faded. For the sake of this and only this kind of games I won't sell or throw my WA keyboard away. Even knowing that clanners won't return to their 2013-2018 level, I reserve a room for them in my life while I still have this room.
So yeah, this is it. I'm going to be there on AnythingGoes for different kinds of funner games, and for clanners. As for TUS singles, don't ask me that as I don't play it anymore.
Thanks to you all for being awesome!
