Can somebody make a compatibility fix for Worms 2?

It would make it look much better on Windows XP and up. It would also let it work with Wine.

On wine, make sure you add dsound.dll to the DLL overrides in winecfg.

does w2 internet server still work? i have w2 but when i used to log on no one joined the channel

Guuria and me once tried to play w2, and we both appeared in the Lobby, but when I tried to host she chouldn't join and viceversa.

Nah, it's more about the ports being closed I think, but the firewall still locks something I don't know, so I'm still unable to host.

i remember when w2 was coming to an end, all the active players had to use Hamachi...

so, of your interested in playing w2 online, as Fenice said, you can get on server, but to be able to connect to eachother, Hamachi will be the only way.

It worked just fine last I tried, a couple of months ago. It helps if you don't have a ridiculous network setup with unnecessary routers and funky MTU values, of course. Everyone's game also has to be patched to at least the latest official version.

But yeah, there's nobody online anymore.

Fenice said he was able to get on server... i was able to as well, last i tried... but with no1 there, how do you know it works fine??

im pretty sure to be able to connect to a host you will need himachi
