Interesting discussion here whether its allowed to knock a worm for hp purposes without having collected the crate (or in this case touched the walls). I`ve always thought of a knock to reduce hp as an attack, and personally I would not have done this knock without touching the walls first. It is allowed in TUS, but by definition (CBA), shouldn`t it not be allowed?

Knocking is not an attack, even if you deliberately damage the worm or not. Attack is using a weapon.

The rules are clear about having to collect a crate/touch a wall before you attack, knocking is not an attack.

Ofcourse knocking is an attack, you deliberately interfere with the other worm in order to do damage. If I pushed/knocked you off a cliff Ray and you fell 30 meters down, would you not say it was an attack on you?

As if worms had any common sense compared to real life.

It's always been like that since I can remember, XTC, CBC cleared these situations in their rules and I remember specifically that they said "knocking is not an attack".

Lol I know mate, literally, it's an attack, but Leagues never seen it that way really.

I think one thing that affects this, is in Roper clanners, where you can knock an opponent down onto his/her teammate for a pile, THEN collect crate and attack. If you get me?

Knock doesn't end a turn like zook or nade. Following this logic this is not an attack. And of course there is no any weapon used when knocking. If an enemy falls near a mine I dropped in my previous turn and get hit, then it's also an attack?

Sorry mate, I wasn't arguing I was just, talking lol.

You cannot say that knocking is not an attack, generally speaking, if you mean in this League, then I agree, anything that deals damage is an attack whether accidental or intentional.

That was my point. CBA doesn't stop you from knocking before the crate.

Knocking was never considered an attack for the reasons Statik and Cue stated. I don't think that should be changed either, it's good the way it is. Getting knocked to death is your own fault to begin with.

In w2w i've knocked to deal damage before, but in roper i wouldnt know if it is legal. I feel maybe mab is right, not sure if its covered in tus rules tho!
